Nauru, also called Pleasant Island is a small independent country island with a population of approximately 12000 people.
The Nauruan people are a mix of Micronesian & Polynesian. A majority of the population practice Christianity.
Nauru lies about 23 nautical miles below the equator in the Central Pacific. The temperature is about 28 - 32 degrees celcius, tempered by a constant cool breeze from the Pacific Ocean.
