Born in Annecy (France), Nausicaa started her musical adventure
when she was only 3 years old. She entered the Conservatory of
music to study cello at 5 and the following year she began piano lessons.
She studied piano and cello for 15 years!!
At 15, she moved to Paris by herself for her music career .
She spent her highschool years at Lafontaine professional children's music school ,
and entered the "CNR de Boulogne-Billancourt" in both disciplines (cello&piano).
She played with "L'ORCHESTRE Français de Jeunes" as a cellist;
they performed famous oeuvres as the "NEW WOLRD SYMPHONY" by DVORAK,
SYMPHONY N°5 by BEETHOVEN, the WALTZ by CHOSTAKOVITCH.....
At 18, she studied music history at the famed french university "LA SORBONNE",
receiving her degree 3 years later.
The funny thing is that during a studies, she discovered a new universe of music:
FUNK, HIP HOP, R'n'B!!
She listened to Ray Charles, Gladys Knight...,Nas, Tupac, Missy Elliott...
She grew up in a strict familly,and "only classical music was allowed at home"!
Plus she didn' t have time to chill after school,she did many comptetions in both
instruments:
"when I got back home , had to play 3 hours each instruments,
and you know what? I just loved it so much!!!!
It was all about my music,my cello, my piano... and I!!!!!"
Nausicaa began modeling when she moved to Paris;
She travelled a lot, London, NYC, Tokyo, Hong Kong,
Singapour, Cape Town...
Travelling was a great experience, as she met different
kind of people, culture...
"That was a great journey! really interesting, made me open
my mind so much more!"
As we all say:
"les voyages forment la jeunesse !!!!"
She collaborated with Karl Lagarfed, Michel Comte...
working for brand such as Coca Cola, BOOTS N°5,
Agnès B.,Disiel, Marithé François Girbaud,DKNY, Barbara Bui, Gucci...
and did shootings for VOGUE, ELLE, GLAMOUR....
Nausicaa's career as a cellist continued as she
accompanied many french artists, Jane Birkin,
Faudel, Jean Louis Aubert, Florent Pagny...
In 2007 she began to work on her first solo album; she took an active role
in all aspects of the album.
She's talented singer but also a songwriter;
Her sexy first single "Respire"/ "Breathe", showcases not only her vocal
talent, but sets the mood of the album.
