Influences
Will Barton:
Between The Buried And Me, Paul Gilbert for being the best guitar player ever, Jeff Loomis, Symphony X, Dream Theater, Opeth, Pagan's Mind, Yngwie Malmsteen, Nevermore, SRV for being a musical bliss inducer, and the continuous strife to be somebody someday.
Nathan Milner:
Between the Buried and Me, Dillinger Escape Plan, Sikth, Lamb of God, the ferocity of Meshuggah, the musical elements of Candiria, Ryan Martini from Mudvayne, the musical shifts of The Red Chord, At War With Self, the frantic sense of change employed by Behold... The Arctopus, I cannot deny that Korn was my reason for picking up the bass, the constant emotional shifts and thought patterns I face on a day-to-day basis, and anyone who has ever critiqued me in any way, shape, or form.
Shawn McCullough:
Between the Buried and Me, Dream Theater, Rush, Opeth, Pagan's Mind, Hiromi, Coheed and Cambria, Lamb of God, Porcupine Tree, Yes, Evergrey, John Bonham. However I am slightly embarrassed about it, I would have to say that my main reason for getting involved with music is the teenage angst of modern punk music. And of course I can't leave out the constant ups and downs of life that keep me motivated.
Sounds Like
A keen combination of the three of our minds' musical vision coming forth into a robust mix of creativity, melody, and mechanical fusion. A healthy mixture of sounds coming from Metal, Progressive, Hardcore, Jazz, and possibly even a hint of Funk.
Nautilus was formed upon an accident back in September 2008, and since then the three have been hard at work, pushing the barricades of what they thought they were capable of creating. With each practice and each new song comes new ideas, every one improving upon the last. One must ask: "When you get better and better with each development, where do you ever end up?" The answer is perfection, far beyond the spectrum of what anyone thought was possible. As for the present, the trio plans to be solely instrumental. It was unanimous amongst the group that not enough people understand, appreciate, and enjoy instrumental music.

I understand. We were the same way when we first started out. I could tell from the recordings you guys could play what you had and i'm looking forward to witnessing the mayhem live. We've only been able to practice once a week as well because of school and all. You guys might have to put on a house show because i don't know if can wait to much longer lol. Thanks man. I don't think we did that good. But i'm looking forward to sharing the stage with you guys.
Oh understand completely my friends. We all have to start out at some point and progress from there, but you guys have started out at pretty good point from what i can here. I'm sure if you had better recording stuff or even when to a studio it would do the song more justice.
