Navigator Records is a new label for traditional, acoustic, folk and contemporary sounds.
Launched in February 2008 with the release of Ireland's new folk star Heidi Talbot. Her superb new album "In Love and Light" was swiftly followed by England's own Benji Kirkpatrick's "Boomerang" and Scotland's LAU delivering their first Live album recorded at the bongo club Edinburgh. Up next came the immense self titled album by England's traditional trio Faustus, "Vagabond" by Spiers And Boden, a mini album from songwriter supremo Boo Hewerdine called "Toybox No.1" and a busy end of summer/autumn is planned with new albums from Drever,McCusker, Woomble "Before The Ruin", Bellowhead "Matachin", Mary Hampton's acclaimed "My Mother's Children", Dean Owens "Whisky Hearts", Mawkin:Causley "Cold Ruin", Kris Drever Live DVD, John McCusker "remasters" a new album from Angel Brothers and a huge collaborative record by Under One Sky (featuring Graham Coxon, Julie Fowlis, Roddy Woomble, John McCusker, Andy Cutting and more)... there will be more news asap in the meantime visit Navigator Records website on www.NavigatorRecords.co.uk and check the individual sites of our talented artists.
The label a joint venture between experienced industry professionals (Proper Music and Tom Rose also of Reveal Records / Agency / Publishing) and is run out of the Reveal Records Office in Derby Uk . Promos, tour dates and much more news coming soon.

POLITE NOTICE re. When sending in music for consideration : No ego maniacs please! This is a nice little label working in PARTNERSHIP with its artists and distributors and some great independent media professionals to further the career of those artists we are lucky enough to work with as much as we possibly can. We will push your music as far out into the world as we can and enjoy working to promote our artists for as long as we feel we can do a good job for them. Being a decent human being is also paramount to getting signed by us, no matter how amazing your music is, we don't want to waste any time working with inconsiderate people. If you just like to play a bit and do an odd gig only every few months, then whilst its unlikely we will end up working together, that does not mean we won't listen to your demo and reply to you in a polite way when we have time. We are not looking for the next artist that fits in a box marked 'similar to the really popular artist on the radio' if we fall in love with your music we will try and work with you, our release schedule permitting.
