A few month's ago 81 new pupils started on the Danish boarding-school Hårslev Efterskole (HE). The first month went by, and Thomas and Michkey started talking about a band. They brought along Frederik (One of the bands former guitarplayers) and Jon. After a few weeks Frederik couldn't play with them no more due to his lack of interest. Another guitarplayer was found - Andreas.
Thomas (15), Michkey (17), Andreas (17) and Jon (16) started out playing a cover of the song Scared by Three days grace. When that was perfect they chose Toxicity by System of a Down. Then they started looking for a singer, and found Thorval (15) who's a former singer in Copenhagen boychoire. Thorval asked the rest of the band if they wanted to play Chop Suey by System of a Down, and they sure would. Palle entered the band due to his interest in helping it, even before he joined. He's also whispering in Chop suey. After 3 months the band finally got a name. Navis Controle doesn't mean anything, but is a mix of something we said during a conversation. Navis comes from Michkey and Andreas talking about Silvan (A danish hardware-store. Notice that Navis is Silvan backwards without the l), and Controle is from Thomas saying some kind of metafore.
At the moment Navis Controle are -after finishing the Linking Park cover (Turned out ok, had to be done in one evening) - working on their own material. Their hope is to have a few songs done within the next month or two.
At the moment Navis Controle are quite unexperienced live-performers. They are gonna play their first real gig in Vordingborg at VUMF the 16th of March.
