Rule no.1 in a music competition...

Do not write too much about the subject matter.. If they are looking for a song about the navy,. do not put the word navy in it...

Wow. Looks like the Navy was after an all ready-made over-polished song, with dumbed-down lyrics (everyone knows the public are stupid) which is so very bland it holds all the facination of a cup of grey sand. Oh well. Navy will prevail!

I agree with Justin. Most of us wrote a song specifically for this competition...I guess thats the way the industry works, its who you know and how far you've already come. The songwriters that had no friends on their accounts had no hope...this comp was no diff to others. Lesson learned for all.

Hello good navy competition organisers... Given that there were entrants who went through the process of writing and recording songs specifically for the navy/competition, would you be good enough to answer me the following question. Did you actually listen to all of the entries, or listen and judge only those with the 20 highest ratings?
If so, who were the final 20?

Hi to all the MySpace Navysongbattlers,

I just want to thank everyone personally that have voted and entered the Navy song battle competition. We had a huge amount of rankings and great song entries. Well done everybody. So many great entries.
The entry Battlestar Pacifica (or was it battleship?) was very lucky to be excepted within the last 15 minutes of the competition ending. They got the highest average and probably had less than 5 votes in total.

Good Sirs! I was sure that the competition closed on the 10th, which I took to mean Midnight. Unfortunatey I have only now managed to upload my song "Theme For Submariners".
