About me: We are a determined and optimistic coalition of student, labor, community and political activists, groups and independent individuals. NAWC was founded in December of 2002. We exist to 1.) oppose U.S. military interventions, 2.) organize against anti-Arab and anti-Muslim racism, and 3.) defend any and all attacks on our civil liberties. Our coalition is open to any and everyone who agrees with those points of unity.
The Northland Anti-War Coalition meets on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month at 2pm in the basement of Duluth's East Hillside Neighborhood Center [1406 E. 2nd St.]. Drop in and plug in to the local anti-war movement. Together we can and will make this a better world!
Who I'd like to meet: People of all ages and walks of life who are opposed to the U.S. war in the Middle East, who believe that a better world is possible, and who are willing to do something to help make it happen - in other words YOU!

so what can we do to make a 9 person picket grow? I am unable to attend meetings, as I work, but I am more than willing to help get the word out there. Signs hung around town in advance, perhaps? Local colleges? I am down to hang these things...we've got work to do.

Thank you for all the work you do in the effort to end the Iraq war. It opposes the character, values, standards and goals of the U.S. I'd rather hear the word "impeachment" rather than "censure" coming from our elected officials in D.C. God bless you, Cindy
with Sadam being hung, what a way to start a new year. 2 wrongs don't make a right and on that people supporting that are just as guilty for murder. Also Bush is alot worse. Why isn't he getting a severe punishment..........

January 27 Buses to D.C.
Join Peace North and the Northland Anti-War Coalition for another motor coach tour to DC. United for Peace and Justice is hosting a massive march on Washington, D.C., on Sat., January 27, to call on Congress to take immediate action to end the war.
The bus cost will be somewhere around $100, with the possibility of sponsorships. We will be gone from Friday morning (the 26th) through Sunday afternoon (the 28th).

Ummm .... I see us working together. I mean, even peace lovers get hungry, right. And just to cover us with the animal rights and environmentalist crowds, I do have the mythical "veggie wienie" that everyone is glad I have but no one ever buys.
