Naya-Band, con casi ya cinco años de vida, ha ido consolidándose a base de directo por casi todo el territorio nacional. Con base en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria la banda, compuesta por músicos de distinto origen (Senegal, Canarias, Venezuela), cuenta con un primer disco autoeditado “Globalización” que agotó su tirada.
Ganadores del concurso de bandas del Paraninfo en 2005, no han parado de tocar en diversos escenarios: Festival Canarias Tropic 2007, 2008; Jornadas de Biociudad 2006, junto al tristemente fallecido Jose Antonio Ramos, diversas salas de Gran Canaria; El Point (Fuerteventura), Tenerife,... Además de haber dado el salto a escenarios de toda la península: Madrid, Barcelona, San Sebastián, Galicia, Durango, Chiclana,... Fue precisamente en Galicia, durante el VIII Foundation Reggae Festival 2008, donde compartieron escenario con el mítico grupo senegalés Touré Kunda.
En todas estas actuaciones el grupo ha sabido seducir al público con composiciones originales de gran calidez y fuerza, melodías profundas y directas que con facilidad alcanzan la mente y el corazón sin por ello renunciar al riesgo y la ambición de fusionar distintos estilos y tradiciones musicales, y sobre todo, sin renunciar a una personalidad musical propia.
Actualmente trabajan en su segunda grabación de estudio con una fuerte apuesta por los ritmos africanos articulados de forma contemporánea. La raíz africana llamando a Occidente.

Naya-Band, with an almost five years long career, has built its foundations principally as live performers. With headquarters in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the band, formed by musicians from diverse countries (Senegal, Canary Islands, Venezuela), published a first self-edited work, “Globalizacion” , which sold out all copies.
Winners of the Paraninfo 2005 local bands contest, they haven..t stopped playing since then in different stages: Canarias Tropic Reggae Festival 2007, 2008; Biociudad 2006 and many other clubs in Las Palmas G.C. ; Fuerteventura and Tenerife. They have been playing in the Mainland as well: Madrid, Barcelona, San Sebastián, Galicia, Durango, Chiclana… In fact, it was in Galicia, during the VIII edition of the Foundation Reggae Festival 2008, where they shared stage with the world famous senegalese band Touré Kunda.
In each of these performances the band has been able to seduce the audience with original compositions of great warmth and power, deep and straight melodíes that can reach minds and hearts easily. All this without avoiding the risk and ambition of bringing different musical traditions together, and most of all, without renouncing to a personal sound.
Actually they..re working in their second studio recording with a clear tendency towards african rythms expressed in a contemporary manner. African roots calling West.

Naya-Band, avec presque cinq ans d’existence,s’est consolidé à base de concert en direct sur presque tout le territoire nacional espagnol. Avec sa base à Las Palmas de Gran Canary, le groupe est composé de musicien de différente nationalité (Sénégal, Canarias, Vénézuela), et avec un disque auto produit “GLOBALIZATION” qui s’est tout vendu au premier tirage.
Après avoir gagné le concours de Paraninfo en 2005 des Iles Canaries, Naya-Band n’a pas arrêté de se présenter sur diverses scénarios: Festival Canarian Tropic 2007,2008; Journée sur la Biociudad 2006, d’où le groupe compartit la scène avec le fameux Jose Antonio RAMOS (qu’il Repose en paix); diverses salles de Gran Canarias; El Point (Fuerteventura), Ténérifé… Après avoir fait un saut sur différentes scènes de la peninsule: Madrid, Barcelone, San Sébastien, Gallicia, Durango, Chiclana… D’ailleurs c’est en gallicia, durant le VIII Foundation Reggae Festival 2008 que le groupe Naya-Band compartit la scène avec le mitique groupe sénégalais Touré Kunda.
Les concerts offerts par le groupe Naya-Band, ont toujours séduit au public qui se laisse emporter par la chaleur des mélodies, et aussi l'ambition de fusionner différents styles et traditions musicales,mais tout en conservant son identité sonore.
Actuellement, la formación travaille sur son deuxième disque avec une pure influence de l’Afrofusion avec une touche musicale occidentale.
