About me:

MEET US at the National Black Arts Festival for a global celebration encompassing music, film, literary and gala experiences that blend the sights, sounds, words, flavors and excitement of the African Diaspora.

DISCOVER US through crafts, cuisine, legends and literature. EXPERIENCE US through our heritage, performances, praise and passion. FIND US in the more intimate setting of the Woodruff Arts Center - the nexus of this year's festival. CELEBRATE US every hour, every day and all weekend at the National Black Arts Festival 2009, July 29 through August 2.

We are many things to many people - an inspiration, a transforming force, a legacy, a depository of intellectual property, a creative clearinghouse, a center for creative exchange and collaboration, an artistic resource and a celebration of the creative spirit. What are we to you?

The 2009 Festival dates are July 29-August 2. Mark your calendar! Visit www.nbaf.org for schedules and more information about The 2009 National Black Arts Festival!

Who I'd like to meet:

Anyone with an artistic vibe and creative spirit who understands the revolutionary nature of art. We cannot be artists and not use our voice to speak truth and question the status quo. ..

Dear The National Black Arts Festival

Every time that we listen or write music... play an instrument... dance... act in a play... or work in some audio/image/video engineering process... Something is healing inside...

When we share it with friends... Something is healing all over...

Love can drive... in a simple way... everything

Have a lot of smiles... this weekend...
