Chris,
Are you off your meds again? We are trying these terrorists in a federal court because it's the right thing to do. Period.

Hey Chris,
Sarah Palin remarked on her facebook page that she wanted a solution for "those left behind". How about they send her book back and buy mine (one in which I DID personally write) at www.whenyoureleftbehind.com

Chris, VP Cheney is absolutely wrong about Pres Obama bowing before the Emperor of Japan! Kudos to the President! Finally, WE are being respectful of other countries culture around the globe, thus elevating our own stature! Chris, you claimed, "well..." as if you too are unsure whether or not "we" should bow before other dignataries. If white men were more respectful of others around the world....well, there'd probably be less drama!

I love HARDBALL! You bring it EVERY night! Stay true!

Hi Chris
I always like to read other people's insightful comments on your page. For
the last several days I heard republicans blast Obama for bringing Khalid
Sheikh Mohammed to stand trial in New York City with Rudy Giuliani leading
the way.The republicans are doing what they do best fear mongering. This
tells me that the Gop has no faith in the US judicial system and our security
forces.I bet that if Rudy Giuliani was still mayor of my favorite city he will
welcome the trial.Bob Barr and right wingers David Keene and Grover Norquist
say that the GOP fear mongering should stop. They also say the civilian courts
and prisons are safe and appropiate to handle such cases. My guestion is why
didn't the Bush Administration try KSM in military courts when they had the
chance.

I like give shout to Averie,Gemma,Kimmie Rae, and Linda

Going ROGUE? Are they kidding? Hugh Jackman goes rogue as "Wolverine". Johnny Depp goes rogue as "Sweeney Todd". Sarah Palin wants to be known as the "Oky doky, you becha straight shooter" and then says she's going rogue with her new book that she didn't write.
If this woman doesn't like drama then I'm not a blonde! lol
I think we can pretty much take whatever she says and know the truth is the opposite of what comes out of her mouth. I LOVED your segment on her yesterday. Either she is a straight shooter or she's a scoundrel. She can't have it both ways. She is going to talk herself right out of the race in 2012 if she keeps this rogue persona going.

Fabulous discussion on Afghanistan with your guest from Virginia. It was a nice blend of very serious issues yesterday, mixed in with some pretty ridiculous Republican antics. I hope you will keep discussing Afghanistan. You are right to ask who is leaking information from The White House. We are hearing about cables being sent to the President and an outraged McCrystal expressing his frustrations with opposing viewpoints. The cascade of information coming our way makes the President's decision making process and his advisors seem scattered and unsure.. I don't believe that is the case at all. I think maybe Obama has finally realized this is the wrong war for America to be involved in. Maybe if we had gone after the right people for 9/11 we wouldn't be going through all this now... seven years later. The President has some very consequential decisions to make.
I look forward to more Palin fluff today.
You now how I like to joke about her Chris. *wink*
Thanks.

Hi Chris,
I share a great discontent over the health care bill that passed the house last Saturday. Women's rights were compromised in order to buy votes for a health care bill that does not even contain a robust public option. How does that help the democrats in 2012? I believe they are hurting themselves. I know still can be fix. I posted a great article from "The Nation" at my blog. "Six progressive complaints about the health care bill". I hope you get to read it. I don't see where the bill includes strong regulations to prevent insurance companies from raising their premiums, and, even worse, they'll gain customers if purchasing health care becomes mandatory. How does that reduce the cost?

Thanks for listening.

OOPS!!!! chris. it occurred to me that i used faulty #s in my previous post. 304 million is the total US population (2008). according to wiki-answers, women makeup 51% of that total population. since men are not the ones who get pregnant, it is the women i must calculate & not the whole. when you use the highest # on record -- the 1.43 million abortions in 1990 -- it's about .008% of the total female population who sought the service. based on the most recent # on record -- 820,151 abortions in 2005 -- it's about .004% of the total female population who sought the service.

i just heard you say richard engel was going to report tonight. at one time in my life i wanted to be a foreign correspondent but life took me in another direction. i admire richard and his bravery. what he does and how he does it gives his reporting some poignant insight.

hi chris. i must say that i agree with linda's comment. i admire your moxie on most issues but i don't know how i'd fare as a guest on your show arguing for womens' freedom of reproductive choice AND the need for healthcare reform. you have made my jaw drop more than once in the past 3 days in the debates about this issue.

yes, abortion is a very heated & passionate issue. i tend to think more rationally about the subject, as i've stated before. with a population of 6 billion & growing on a planet really only made to sustain 3.5 billion comfortably, i believe we should concentrate on those who are here on this earth living and breathing the air. there are many neglected children in this country, somehow lost through the cracks because people just want to fret about the new babies. it's an irksome trait in humans ... "in with the new & out with the old."

people need to be realistic and quit acting like women go out in droves to get abortions like they do getting their hair and nails done. i looked up some statistics and found that (according to the best #s out there) .005 percent of the women in this country seek abortions annually. that is based on the CDC's highest # of annual abortions at 1.43 million in 1990. (the last stat listed in 2005, with 820,151 abortions). with the population (according to U.S. census 2008) topping more than 304 million in the country, the proof is in the math that abortions aren't as rampant as the extreme right-wingers would lead us to believe!

also, i am anti-war yet my tax dollars pay for the killing of countless thousands of living and breathing human beings trying to live a decent life on this planet earth. if it were up to me, i'd opt out of that one. thanks.

Thanks Dear Soldier

I give thanks to you dear soldier,
Who stands so firm and brave
While dealing with the fears
You may meet an early grave.

This war was not your choosing
And yet you give your all
To protect our beloved freedom
Lest we should bow and fall

You stand and fight with all your might
For friends and family left at home
You make us proud, we’ll tell you so
When you come marching home.

You fight to free a people
downtrodden and opressed
By a cruel and wicked vulture
Who puts you to the test.

You fight with fiercest pride
At who you are and what you do.
Though sleep deprived and weary
You give of yourself anew.

Your resolve has never faltered
Though often faced with fear of death
Your fellow soldiers count you faithful
Though it be with your last breath.

I could not be more proud
Were you my daughter or my son
For you stand among the very best
Who fight ‘til the battle’s won.

We pray for you dear soldier
That you return to this home shore,
That God will bring you safely home
To live and love once more.

May God bless you, and may God bless America!
HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY 2009

XOXO TERRY

Chris,
You are off base on the abortion question. There are already laws on the books about no federal money for abortions. The Stupak amendment goes much further than that and you know it. You are biased on this issue and if you cannot separate your moral views from what the real issue is ~ making it more and more difficult for women to have control over their LEGAL reproductive rights ~ then perhaps you should recuse yourself from commenting on this issue in the future. I admire you greatly, Chris, but sometimes you are just plain wrong.

Hi Chris,

I've been traveling and missing MSNBC. Regarding health care reform, I know is a huge step for change, but still so much needs to be accomplish to make this right and work for american families. I will continue contributing with my efforts and as citizen to make health care reform a human right and not a priviledge. After posting my comment about CIGNA in your page I had several people sharing their stories with me. I appreciate it and I'm open for anybody that wants to share their experiences. Have a wonderful week.

Chris Matthews, I can't believe you are still up! Amazing. I arrived home a little while ago and you were just coming on with your Special Edition of Hardball. So glad you were still working because I had absolutely no idea who ended up winning in the elections (well, I pretty much knew how Virginia was going to go)
Thank you for your tireless dedication to reporting the important news no matter the hour. You are so passionate when it comes to the truth and the process of how we arrive at the bottom line... the ultimate truth. Loved the Churchill quote. I keep thinking the ultimate truth is on it's way. lol It's been almost one year; we need to get going and at least see some small changes in the right direction. Our bottom line is a long way off.

You must be tired. But you're still as sharp as ever. Get some rest! xx

Why don't Palin and Bush go on tour and speak together. They each want WAY too much money for the fool's wisdom they impart. He could make up new words and she could wink after each one to insure that no audience member is watching or listening to Bush. It's perfect! They could call it "The Tao of Oky Doky Strategerie."
What do you think Chris? I'd pay a dollar to attend.
xx!

PS So How can I work for TIme Magazine? lol You made such a touching point about our men and women who are dying every day over in Afghanistan. How can we ignore the somewhat unsavory motivations behind this fight. Your comparison of the dynamics involved in the power struggle behind our troops fighting over there with the turning of the Rubik's Cube was really quite creative and spot on. I have a feeling we are in for the long haul- a very long and costly travail in which the price is not only our dwindling dollars, but precious American blood.
Take care.

Chris,
I have been working and not able to watch your show this week, but I still come over to your page to read the comments people have written to you.
I would just say one thing about 9/11. For a few days after the tragedy we were all just human beings who were hurting and joined together in our grief as one nation- while the compassion of the world watched and hurt with us. There were no color lines, party lines or picket lines. Why even go to that judgement place to say that there are more Republicans or more Democrats who are truthers? It's ridiculous! No device has yet been invented, no opinion pole taken to tell us whether there are more Republicans following Glen Beck and his ilk, or a few Democrats who still believe that George W. Bush had something to do with the attacks. (Utter nonsense to both of those ideas!
There are people on both sides and in between) the fray of the two parties that have gone off the deep end with conspiracy theories and bunk. I would hope to God that both the Dems and Pubs also have intelligent, compassionate souls who have not forgotten that grief is a human emotion, not a party emotion. Let us get past this divisive talk and move on to work toward finding common ground, not lines in the sand.
Thanks Chris.
xx

Chris, one other thing is you always give credit to the Democrats for being 9/11 truthers. I really don't think that is fair. Many Republicans are 9/11 truthers, probably moreso than Democrats.

I'm hoping a full investigation is done in the case of the presume innocent man from Texas that was put to death by Governor Rick Perry. Somebody needs to ensure errors in the case are exposed and made public. This is serious business. We are dealing with the life of a innocent human being. If the investigations end up showing that any of these discrepancies were overlooked we must hold those responsible. This is my problem with capital punishment, the possibility of errors, lack of fair legal representation that ends up punishing the poor, and is not effective in controlling crime.

hi chris, we have never met and please don't post this unless you want to and my preference would be after sunday oct 24, for personal reasons.. just know ther is nothing fake about me i have my set of human problems as we do but i would stand behind my actual record as a man and human being, i hope to be jusged someday for who i am not what i look like but please know part of the problem may be i look pretty darned good at times and when you in real life get it exactly right in real time and in a realplace i have found ther is ofter\n people who aren't happ. please not i want my questions answered by fsu the problems fixed but i want to go ahead and do like paul harvey used to say and i admired that man more than you can ever know .. therest of the story and i think it will be insane men with lots of money and very littl ethics who are mentally ill and should be banned from business 4 life.. they do that in baseball you know. i used to be a heavy weight general manager 4 a national co; million + in my early 20s mcdonalds quincy fl check the actual sales and store scores and yess idid doit right and trutfully. i'm not pretty anymore but i have always beenthe same human being over the years. keith

Dear Chris,
The book that I wrote about my life, "When you're left behind", I have made into an eBook. Part of the introduction reads, Let's see, I have the greatest family! Have been married to my wonderful husband for twenty-six years. My son is now twenty-five and my daughter is twenty-one. They are all the best of the best, and I love them so very much!!! As for my other interests, cable news. Information, is something I can't get enough of. I'm much like a sports addict, only it's the political talk show for me! While I think it's important to keep up with all the main cable news channels, I especially love Hardball on MSNBC. Chris, now that my book is published, feel free to search on line for it!! The idea that I have in my book to help the educational system, not all will agree with but still the arrow is pointed towards helping the students that are the least among us. My hope is that it can...
