In a word: I’m a workaholic; at least that’s what I’m told by, well, people who don’t seem to work as much. My greatest asset in this business is luck, plain and simple. And to make your own luck, you have to work at it; hence my workaholic tendencies. Makes perfect sense to me…
Me on the Decision 08 Road:
What I’ve learned on the campaign trail: The art of packing light.
What I WANT to learn on the campaign trail: To be as good as my colleagues.
Best thing I’ve witnessed: The enthusiasm of those not even old enough to vote.
Worst thing I’ve witnessed: The press plane pulling away without me.
Funniest thing I’ve seen: Babies that look like beach balls being passed for a candidate to kiss.
Scariest thing I’ve seen: Babies actually being TREATED like beach balls as they’re passed for a candidate to kiss.
Best campaign meal: Cheese fries at 7 in the morning.
Biggest regret: The toll the trail has taken on my liver.
Biggest goal: To cover history right.
Biggest shortfall: Not always meeting my goal.

First, please accept my condolences on the loss of Tim Russert. The past week, I have been touched by the reaction of everyone at MSNBC at this very difficult time -- it's clear that "The NBC Family" isn't just a throwaway catchphrase, but everyone there truly cares for each other -- which is refreshing to see not just in journalism, but in television broadcasting.
I enjoy your excellent reporting -- well done! Keep up the good work!
Yours, Honore E. The Etiquette Grrls PS: Your profile is one of the most amusing I've seen on myspace in a long, long time, especially the reply to "When You Get to Heaven" Actor's Studio, and the best/worst campaign trail answers -- I actually laughed aloud!
Lee, Thank you so much for the add. Your intelligence intrigues me and your constant passion for the news and importance of IT is the ultimate WOW!!!! Thanks again!!! Have a nice weekend. PS/My heart and soul weeps for the loss of your friend and colleage, Tim Russert.
So after starting off the campaign in cold Iowa and Newhampshire, the traveling press now gets to "work" in Florida and Puerto Rico...not a bad deal. I hope you folks get at least a little beach time! Both the press and the campaign deserve it.
