I've been a reporter for nearly 30 years and the best thing about that is the places you go and the people you meet. I got the travel bug when I was in high school and even more so in college. My father worked for United Airlines so the family was able to fly, space available, pretty much for free. I've been on the road ever since. I've especially enjoyed the overseas trips across Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
It's always amazing to see how people live and the bottom line conclusion is that everywhere people want the basic same thing. To live in a peaceful place. To be part of a loving family. Parents want decent and respectable work so they can provide for their kids and see to it that they get a good education. That doesn't seem like too much to ask.
