About me:
What is Cop Watch?

Cop Watch is a type of organization consisting of independent people in many cities who take it upon themselves to cooperatively monitor, report, and assist each other in removing abusive police activity from their communities.

This extension of Cop Watch is active and involved in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Cop Watch is a national movement yet at the same time entirely local. New Brunswick Cop Watch consists of people who take an active concern in the well being of the New Brunswick community.

Cop Watch will have regular meetings, regular outings, and attempt to network with similar communities and groups as long as people are interested.

We hope to continue to manage growth and achieve the ends of maintaining a trained community group to effectively police the police for a long time to come. We plan to be an asset to the New Brunswick community in any number of ways, but our priority is first with illegitimate police action.

We encourage those who are interested to attend meetings and contact New Brunswick CopWatch. Our e-mail is

newbrunswickcopwatch@yahoo.com

Anyone wishing to report abuse may remain anonymous, but we must ask you to come forward so we may begin to document any infringements on civil liberties or personal security at the hands of law enforcement.
Who I'd like to meet:
Concerned New Brunswick citizens, activists, good cops, similar groups (local and otherwise), victims, anyone who will participate.

"Community Faces $10 Mil. Lawsuit For Alleged Police Brutality"

The community of Cookeville, in
Putnam County, is facing a $10 million lawsuit amid the release of shocking police dash cam video.

The video, from a Cookeville police cruiser, shows the arrest of a Putnam County man.

A Cookeville officer is seen allegedly placing drugs on the man, Carlos Ferrell, before arresting him.

Ferrell is now suing the city of Cookeville, the police department, Putnam County, and the sheriff's office for $10 million.

During the arrest, Ferrell was also bitten by a police K9.

Chris Melton, one of the officers involved, is now on leave, and his police force is facing statewide scrutiny.

Hey, we want to help out with all the shit you're doing. We think you're awesome. We think your uncompromising stand against authority, against tyranny is inspiring. We want to help.

Invite us to wade through teargas with you, or break through police lines, to create a distraction while you rob a bank to redistribute the wealth in the name of the Cause. Invite us to help tear down the walls of oppression -- understand that it is totally okay if you mean this literally.

Trash Orchestra is a marching percussion band -- a bone-shaking recycled orchestra. We make percussion on tuned cans, hubcaps and barrels, drums, pieces of sheet metal, and homemade oddities.

More advance notice is better and maybe some help getting and staying there. But we are game to consider anything.

We'd love to do what we can to support your efforts.

Arrests spur brutality complaint

Investigation is launched into incident in Freehold

By ED JOHNSON
STAFF WRITER

Internal affairs investigators are working to determine what led to the arrests Tuesday night of a 15-year-old boy and his mother by borough police in an incident that the woman says resulted in police brutality against her and her son.

The police contend that the boy hit one officer and that another was injured in trying to subdue him.

Police have said the Tuesday night incident began with officers looking for six men who had assaulted another man with a baseball bat and escaped in a car. Some time later, they pulled over a small sport-utility vehicle similar to the one in which the men drove off.

That SUV was occupied by 33-year-old Migdalia Irizzary, who was driving home from a Freehold girls basketball game with her three children, another child, and one of her son's friends.

Police said the woman and her 15-year-old son, who was not identified because of his age, were arrested after the vehicle was stopped, with a subsequent scuffle requiring several officers to respond.

Police said they can't comment on the case because an internal investigation is under way, but Lt. Mark Wodell confirmed that Irizzary was charged with obstructing the administration of law and resisting arrest.

Her 15-year-old son was charged on a juvenile complaint with third-degree aggravated assault and resisting arrest. The boy was released from the juvenile detention center Friday afternoon.

But Irizzary says she and her son were brutalized by police, and added that she filed complaints with both borough police and the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

Borough police confirmed that the complaint was filed.

Monmouth County First Assistant Prosecutor Peter E. Warshaw confirmed the complaint also had been referred to his office but said he could not comment further on the investigation.

Irizzary said: "When the officer pu

Yo, we love the work you do to fight oppression and this bullshit system of exploitation. When you're working to shut down the war machine, environmental destruction, the world free trade efforts, racist and classist mofos, corporate swine and their media lapdogs, repressive laws, the fascist police state, and capitalism itself -- when you're working to support indigenous rights, the freedom of women and children (and men, for that matter), civil liberties and free speech, poor people and homeless folk -- when you're engaged in anarchist and anti-authoritarian struggles -- we want to help!

Trash Orchestra is a marching percussion band – a bone-shaking recycled orchestra. We make percussion on tuned cans, hubcaps and barrels, drums, pieces of sheet metal, and homemade oddities. We show up invited and uninvited at protests and celebrations, furors and fracases.

Invite us next time there's a need to make a ruckus, to shout out and make a big noise. We're there.

Hello once again...
I'm just stopping by to see how things are going on your corner of the net.

Most of us are locked down into this society. We're wage-slaves, prisoners of our own design, anchored, and robbed of our dreams.

We must dissent, we must rebel, we must disobey, we must ask questions, and we must wake up.

Look past the 'truth', journey down the rabbit hole, and journey with me to wherever me may go. Our world, our society, and our culture are broken.
Only we can set things right.

Imagine, Hail Eris, Fuck em if they can't take a joke, and don't ever back down.

-peace

is a COALITION of
Mothers, Fathers, Relatives and Extended Family Members
whose loved ones have been killed, tortured, disabled or emotionally scarred by Police.

and is meant to complement the national work of FAMILIES, headed by Danny Garcia, Brother of Marcos Garcia (murdered by SFPD), and the respective struggle of all courageous families across the nation towards Social and Racial Justice.

We are aiming at forming a regional, national and global workforce of many chapters, under the premise of Unity, Respect and Mutual suppport as well as resource sharing, and helping each other build support around respective cases.

Many of us intitially received modest to tremendous attention after the tragedy occured, intermittent grassroot or "progressive officials" support, which fades as time goes by...

Some of us remain active in the struggle, while others might need a reprieve or quietly "get on with their lives".

Yet staying in touch among all of us, for updates, planning joined events, or simply draw support as needed (such as during anniversaries...) should always remain strong, PERMANENT as an option and easily accessible.

This Forum and memberships will be moderated to avoid disrespectful comments on the site and infiltrations, to protect your privacy.

Ideally members of the group will occasionally make themselves available to contact newly affected families, and invite them to join.

We ARE indeed Family in many aspects, under the force of circumstance, regardless of age, creed, race or orientation ! Let's make it work for us, and heal /fight back together !

Greetings & Salutations

It is now glaringly obvious that the posters and our other activities have attracted the attention of The United States Department of State and other governmental agencies. I recently applied for a passport as part of my next two quarters of Independent Learning Contracts (Spring to go to the G8 as part of a medic team in Germany and Summer to go to Mexico and conduct interviews concerning the G8’s influence on that region) these will complete my BA degree through The Evergreen State College. My application was denied. The Department of State said they wanted Complete Employment Records (including employer I.D. numbers), Complete Educational Records, Complete Residency Records, Complete Tax Records and the names, addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, dates of death, dates of marriage of ALL my family members. I have contacted my attorney and he has sent a letter, as have I and my primary instructor for the spring contract. So far this has met with no response from the Department of State.
I am asking that each and every one of you that appreciate freedom and resist oppression write a letter of support and send it to:

United States Department of State
Colorado Passport Agency
3151 South Vaughn Way, Suite 600
Cherry Creek Place III
Aurora, CO 80014

Protesting the unconstitutional use of the United States Intelligence services to intimidate law-abiding citizens.

Through them denying my passport they have not only caused the two contracts to be nullified but have delayed graduate school for a whole year (at best) and caused mad chaos with the financial aid office. This has placed me in a very difficult and expensive situation as I have already purchased $1110.30 worth of non-refundable airline tickets and made many arrangements in and around Germany for the upcoming G8 Convention.
I know that together we can fight this monster and that if we let them intimidate and coerce us into silence that we are guilty of collusion th

PEACE JAM 2007
Camp Quixote & G8 info Tour
Benefit Show!
We here at Replacements Needed and The PeaceGuard N.W. are proud to present the G8 Info Tour on March 26th, 2007. There will be two presentations one at 4-6p at Traditions Café and another from 7-9p at The Olympia Free School. This important information tour is here to help raise awareness of the G8 and its influence not only on America but the world. We ask that everyone attend and show your generous support for this information tour that is concluding its 24+ country tour here in the Pacific Northwest.
To show our gratitude to the G8 Info Tour we have organized an acoustic jam session on March 25th at Percival Park here in Olympia, WA. This is open to any and all acoustic musicians who would care to participate and will be from 7-10p. Due to City of Olympia laws prohibiting busking (playing music for donations on the street or in public places) we must pre-sell tickets. These can be purchased online at:

https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_xclick&business=replacementsneeded%40hotmail%2ecom&no_shipping=2&no_note=1&tax=0¤cy_code=USD&lc=US&bn=PP%2dDonationsBF&charset=UTF%2d8 and will be available for pick up at “Will Call” the night of the event. We ask for a donation of $10.00 per ticket but larger donations are always welcome. Proceeds will go to benefit Camp Quixote (Olympia’s Tent City) and The G8 Info Tour. We ask that you donate generously to help us help these worthy causes and to continue our work.
If you are a musician and would like to join in “Peace Jam 2007” please arrive a bit early so we can co-ordinate performances. This is a “permitted” event through the City of Olympia Parks & Recreation Department designed to raise awareness concerning Camp Quixote and the effects of the G8. Please bring the kids, dog and family for a fine night on the waterfront and help us help these fine causes.

There are two G8 Info tour presentations set for Olympia both on the night of March 26th, 2007.
1. Traditions Café 4-6p
2. Olympia Free School 7-9p
If you are planning on attending the G8 conference in Heiligendamm, Germany it is strongly recommended that you attend both presentations. Seattle dates are forthcoming keep checking our site at http://replacementsneeded.com/id56.html for upcoming dates in the Pacific Northwest.

ATTENTION ALL WHO SUPPORT OUR WORK here at Replacements Needed & PeaceGuard. We need your involvement today!

The PeaceGuard Northwest is sending a small group of street medics to the G8 Conference in Heiligendamm, Germany June 6th, 2007 to June 8th, 2007 and we need your help. We are asking that our supporters help sponsor us in this endeavor. Also during the months of June through September 10th Mr. Hays will be going to Mexico and several islands in the Caribbean conducting audio/video interviews concerning the influence of the G8 upon that region. This is an expensive and dangerous endeavor and one that is vitally important. These interviews will be shared with many activists groups at home and abroad and will help expand our knowledge of how the G8 and our own actions are impacting the world. If you want to help sponsor this trip or are part of a group who may be able to help do so please respond by email with your contact information if you plan on making a contribution to peaceguard@replacementsneeded.com

Thank you so much for joining us on this important and necessary journey. Without your generous support we would not be able to take our activities outside the borders of our great nation and to let the world know that we are not sitting idle while they plot and plunder the very planet that we must ALL share.

PeaceGuard Northwest and Replacements Needed thank you for your support.
Donations can be made out to: Thomas Hays
In "subject" line please put “PeaceGuard G8 Trip”

The Canary Effect: in-depth look at devastating U.S. policies on Indigenous Peoples

"The Canary Effect takes an in depth look at the devastating effect that US policies have had on the Indigenous people of America. Using beautifully crafted imagery it presents a chilling case to what many believe is an ongoing genocide of the American Indian. Featuring interviews with some of the leading scholars and exponents of Indigenous struggles, alongside revealing insight from those who work and live on reservations today, The Canary Effect creates a link between the past and present in a unique way never before explored on film. .."
