Nicole Collins - vocals, acoustic guitar/ Full band (for select gigs): drums by Richard Monica; bass by Pete Williamson; guitars by Alan Cohen, John Caban; keys by Anthony Robustelli
Influences
The absurd and irresistible "What if"? The best of the 80s and 90s. Anger. Vulnerability. Schubert's 8th (Unfinished). All out, weepy ballads. Anything that's rockin'.
Sounds Like
2 parts pop/rock + 1 part R&B/soul + 1 part folk, simmered until golden brown. Enjoy.
There was a time for playing a part, for sacrificing no matter the cost.
Not this time. She's had enough.
With lush vocals, timeless melodies and and lyrics you can sink your teeth into, Nicole's second album, "Not This Time," delves deeper into heartbreak -- taking unforgiving aim at inauthenticity wherever she sees it -- and rocks louder as despair becomes strength and hope. This time, the masks come off for good.
The result: mature pop/rock at its finest, and a voice you won't forget.
Thanks for a great set the other night Nicole! Hope you enjoyed being there as much as we enjoyed having you back again! -Cheers, Mocha Maya's Coffee House & Espresso Bar
Hey, Nicole! How are you doing? I'm still loving your music as always! I wish you luck in all of your musical dreams. I keep you in my prayers as well.

I'm having a tough time on getting it tarted: I can't find anything that rhymes with: "I'm sorry mom, I promise I will finally land a job this year and move out because age 34 is going to mature me".
The only thing I could think of that rhymes is "Me so horny", and I'm not sure that would work. :(
Today was a nice day. I woke up, made myself tofu-bacon and eggs and watched a little Good Morning America, followed by the opening banter of Regis and Kelly. From there I went back to sleep for about 3 hours and after getting up, watched cartoons for the rest of the day. I normally don't tell people this about me, but you're different. You listen to your fans...because you care.
So i've been sitting by my phone for exactly a month since I last left you that comment, and you still have yet to call.. Frankly i'm starting to get a little worried.. Don't be "that Guy" haha love you
uhm.. "expect me to dial those numbers when you can't lift the phone!" works both ways GIRL! haha i'll call you! love you this much (----------------------------)
I spent all day yesterday drafting a business letter...leaving my right hemisphere a little beatdown. As a result, I am at a loss for words to express to you how much I enjoy what you do and my appreciation for the add. So....great stuff...thanks
Your music is breathtaking and beautiful Nicole -- just like you! Thanks for the add, and may you be richly and abundantly blessed in all things. Peace, Tony
I'm the host of Open Mic Night at Jackson Avenue Coffee in Charleston, IL. I wanted to thank you again for coming to our little venue in the middle of nowhere. It was truly a privilege to have an artist of your caliber performing on our stage. I've played "Not This Time" at least once a day since your show. Thank you so much.
Your music is ravishing. Smoothe as the skin of an African king. Warm as a day along the coast of the West Indies. As gentle as the whispers of wind travelling through a quaint British meadow.
Your voice is that of Gold. Of Diamonds. Paul Wall could make a $30,000 grill out of your voice.
There's nothing more I enjoy more than a quiet evening alone...just me and the Merlot in hand, listening to your songs. I've been doing it for 27 straight days...I've even quit my job, I enjoy your music so much.
You should do a show in California. Preferably Dodger Stadium.
I'm so annoyed that I couldn't come see you in new york in the spring, I was busy with college and had nobody to go with! I'm back living in the UK now, so I look forward to you coming over here!
