    One Picture, One Person, One Soul

    This Picture Symbolizes So Much. I See It As A Metaphor For Me, Transparent. I See Myself As Being Very Transparent Or In Other Words An Open Book. But, It's Funny To Me, Because So Many People Try To See More Then What's Put Here. It's Been Said That There's Something "Mysterious" About Me, Or Something About Me, Or I'm Different. Why? Because I'm Not The Ordinary. I've Stepped Outside The Box, Long Ago. I Don't Allow Myself To Fit Into The Norm. But, What You See Is What You Get. So I Mean Like MJB Said, "Take Me As I Am."

    People Fear, Ridicule, And Make Fun Of What They Don't Understand

    This One Is Kinda Simple. Let Them. You Never Really Know How Ignorant One Is Until They Open Their Mouth And Speak. So Many People Are Afraid To Take The Time To Learn New Things, Be Enlightened On Old Subjects And Expand Their Intellectual Horizons. Somethings In Life Can Be Explained Very Simple, But So Many Other Things Can't, Some I Truly Believe Can Never Really Fully Be Explained, A Phenomenon, Have You.

    The Bible Says, "Let He Who Has Not Sinned, Cast Thee First Stone." This Is Real Deep Because When It Comes To Religion Some Of The Most "In The Church" Or Most Spiritual People, Are The Most Judgemental. The Bible Does Say To Pray For Their Soul, It's Not Our Job To Condemn Them. Me, Personally I'm Not Perfect And I Do Sin, At Times. But, I Am A Christian And Have Confessed With My Heart And Through My Mouth, That I Do Love The Lord. No One Knows The Trials, Triumphs, Storms Or Conflicts I Deal With Better Than Him. He Never Said That This Walk Would Be An Easy One, And Is Not For The Swift Or The Strong, But He Who Endures To The End. So Until The End, I'll Be On My Journey. Praying Every Step Of The Way For a Change For The Better. My Aunt Kim Said It Best, "Don't Worry About Me, I'll Be Fine, But Keep Ordering Your Steps, So That You May Walk Worthy." Now That's Real Talk. So I Pray Every Night, For Myself, For My Family, Friends, Foes, And For Society As A Whole Honestly.

My name is D, short for Duante' (Pronounced Like Dontay). I'm not your typical nor Ordinary Young Black Male, You'll See This As You Read On, If You Read On. I was born in Washington DC; Raised In PG County MD; And Now Reside In Northern Virginia. And Attend Norfolk State University In Norfolk, Virginia, Where I Am A Mass Communications Major, With An Emphasis On Radio/Television Broadcasting. I plan to be a radio personality and maybe even a television host in the future. I also wouldn't mind maybe being an A&R. Or writing for a entertainment industry type magazine. Basically, I want to work in the entertainment industry and once those doors open, they are going to have a hell of a time, trying to get me back out of them. I have big goals and don't plan to let anyone get in the way of that you dig. With God on my side who can be against me. I'm Really Just Ready To Finish Wit School, Make Money, And Become Successful. I Can't Wait Until I Am. I Want To Be Able To Give Back To My Community, And Family. Especially My Moms, She Has Done So Much For Me, Besides Raise Me, She's Always Been There For Me, Even When She Didn't Have To Be. There's Noone In This World That I Actually Admire More. She Is A Mold Of The Perfect Mother And I Think Everyone Should Have A Mother Like Her. I Want To Be Able To Give Her All That She Wants. Just Like She's Done For Me All These Years.

And Now To Go Into Further Detail. I'm A Real Chill Type Dude. I Like The Basics, You Know To Go Out And Have A Good Time, Hit The Club Up Ery Now And Then. But, I also Acutally Like Just Chillin And Spending Time Wit Family And Friends. I Have A Huge Dvd Collection, Cause I Like Movies And I Just Like Seeing All The Movies I Have Lol. I Love To Laugh And Make Jokes. To Know Me Is To Love Me Pretty Much. I Like To Write Poetry, Read Poetry, And Just Writing In General. I Have 1 Brother And 1 Sister. I Have A Ton Of Cousins And Family Members. A Very Large Family Period. I Like To Spend A Lot Of Time With My Family, don't really deal wit too many outsiders. So If I Befriend Them Their Usually A Genuine Person. I Think It Is Safe To Say That I Am A Good And Loyal Friend To Those That I Am Friends With. We Share A Bond Basically Almost Like Family. I Have Some Associates Or Clubbing Friends Too.

It's Like People Don't Realize That This Disease Is Real And Killing Thousands. Folks Say "I Don't Need To Get Tested I Know I Don't Have It." Then, If That's The Case What Is It Going To Hurt For You To Go Get Tested. We Are The Future Leaders Of Tomorrow, Time To Act Like It. But, Enough About That, I Know My Status, How About You? The Quote Above Says So Much In So Few Words. Not Trying To Make It Seem As Though I'm Just So Popular That Everyone Has My Name In Their Mouth Or Something To Say. But, It Does Apply To Enough Folks Out There. But, I'm Destined For Success, And Plan To Be Famous In The Somewhat Near Future, So I'm Sure It's Something That I'm Going To Have To Get Use To, Huh?



I know half of the people who view my page will pay no attention to the things I'm saying and will look at the pictures and send a note and that's about it. My page is more so directed to those who do read what's on my page. Some say that I act or think I'm better than others, but I honestly don't. When has wanting to better yourself, be educated, step outside from the norm of society, and be a leader, not a follower, become acting or thinking your better? I just do me. My mother once said "Everything is not for everybody." That's a very true statement because as I sit around and observe the things and people that I'm around or interact with sometimes I wonder what is their purpose. I'm not judging them, I am just curious to know, what they plan to get out of life, when it seems they are constantly just settling for anything. As I've gotten older I've definitely become a very socially conscious person of society and African Americans.
