Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Bob Wills, Ween, Jerry Reed, Hank Williams Sr., Vaughn Monroe, Wynn Stewart, Ray Price, Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, Lyle Lovett, Hank Snow, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Robbie Fulks, David Allan Coe, and more when I have time to write them in.
Sounds Like
All right...we'll take a crack at this. We sound like a lot of corn whiskey poured down the throats of Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash and David Allen Coe and lit, regardless of which end it came back out of. Our music is strong on country and roots rock, with touches of bluegrass, blued-eyed soul and humor. We write songs with lyrics that coulda been written by an eighth-grader (they weren't; however, we will admit that one song was written by a yankee chick up in Vermont, and y'all shouldn't blame her for the rest of them), but we also write 'em about what it means to be a man in today's world. We write about things we believe in, songs that tell stories and some that are just plain beer-drinkin' anthems for drunks (yep, this jest might mean y'all). But ain't nobody ever had a bad time at one of our shows, and we are the undisputed champions of having unscheduled guests come up and jam with us onstage...we've had fiddles, trombones, saxophones, jew's harps, mandolins, ukuleles and paintbrushes (courtesy of Norton Wisdom) onstage with us, and we're always lookin' for new friends to jam with. Come on out to a show and hear it for yourself, why'ntcha?
The Legionnaires' Bio
From their first gig, in the basement bar of a Fargo strip club, to their fall 2005 appearance at the legendary Cabooze club in Minneapolis, MN, North Dakota's The Legionnaires have become a hot topic on the lips of music and comedy fans across the upper Midwest. Their unique blend of country, rock, bluegrass and world beat music is nearly as noteworthy as their hilariously raunchy lyrics about forbidden carnal pleasures, life on the road, and the prices paid for indulging in too much of both. Take warning, the subject matter in this incredibly entertaining show is not suited for all-ages crowds, but their energetic performances and commanding stage presence are perfectly suited for a roof-raising, floor-stomping party that is sure to leave you hungry for more.
Their showmanship and musicianship has not been overlooked by their peers, either. In just one short year of playing venues around North Dakota and Minnesota, they'd already shared the stage with some of the most established and up-and-coming artists in the upper Midwest, including Wookiefoot, Trampled by Turtles, Stealin' Strings, Down Lo, 40 Watt Bulb, Quadrophonic, The White Iron Band, Javier Trejo, WBPN, The Big Wu, The Radiators, Shooter Jennings, Banyan and more! Many of these billings have led to on-stage collaboration, and with many "honorary Legionnaires" now scattered throughout the Midwest, there is always the possibility of a local celebrity musician showing up at a Legionnaires show to join in the fun.
i'd love to get back to fargo - i was there with keneally to do a taylor clinic once. really cool park and bridge-with-flags thing between fargo and moorhead!

I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.
I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.
Thanks
