Influences	thats not really to answerable. we have a very diverse taste in music and we have found influence in all around us. Everything from funk, to jazz, bluegrass, punk, metal, jam, wow i guess country cause thats kinda the sound. ?????????????????????? music-i guess-there's alot of bands that we could say have "helped" form our sound. Earl Scruggs-Nirvana-Newgrass Revival-Hot Tuna-Old and in the Way-Split Lip Rayfield-SCI-George Jones-MMW-Crosby Stills Nash and Young-Trampled By Turtles-Hank Williams-dERIK hOLTE- Hank III-James Brown-Ween-Jimmy Jeff Walker-Dr. Hook-The Beatles-The Allman Bros-The Grateful Dead-Paul Simon-Kris Kerstoffen-Johnny Cash-Pink Floyd-The Ramones-Billy Joel-Willie Nelson-Bob Dylan-NIN-it doesnt sound like the influences of a typical bluegrass band but that probably why we dont sound that way. We're Musicians that just found a common love to playing.
Sounds Like	HONKY TONK - ROCKABILLY- COUNTRY - AN ELECTRIC JUG BAND- THE GREEN ROOM - Neo-punk grass - mexcian death metal Scott and Dan Spending a bunch of time w/ guitars in hand pickin up people along the way. Old school jug band style!!!!!! a whole lot of chaos set to the sound of beer bottles breakin. its hard to pin a sound down-and thats the way we like it. you know.

THE GREEN ROOM is a bluegrass band from Fargo ND. TGR began as the brain child of Scott Filler and Dan Meckle. Scott and Dan started playing shows in Aug. of 2007 and soon by the end of November the band was playing as a string band. Now we stand 5 strong (picking up drummer Russ Pfaff) and that makes a hell of alot of strings. we made smiles we made frowns but most of all we make music. HA er something. we've shared the stage with local acts as well as national and international acts. We're 4 guys and a gal that won't turn down a cold beer on a warm day, we play very few covers (i think its cause the new stuff comes so quick). The "Train" Rolls In By Tom Weber Post-Bulletin, Rochester MN BYRON -- Wayne "the Train" Hancock, whose traditional country music is strongly influenced by Hank Williams and Bob Wills, will perform at 8 p.m. April 25 at the Byron American Legion Post. Hancock calls himself a "hillbilly with attitude," and says he wants to take back country music from the over-commercialization of recent decades. As a clue to his viewpoint, Hancock is based in Austin, Texas, rather than the traditional country hometown of Nashville. "I'm like a stab wound in the fabric of country music in Nashville," Hancock has said. The AllMusic Guide says of Hancock, "A rare breed of traditionalist, one who imbues his retro obsessions with such high energy and passions that his songs never feel like the museum pieces he's trying desperately to preserve. " Hancock's latest CD, "Viper of Melody," is produced by Lloyd Maines, who has produced albums for Wilco, Uncle Tupelo and the Dixie Chicks. Tickets are $15, available at the door. We invite you to take your hot rod on it's first road trip of the year and come on out for a great night of Rockabilly and Swing. If you need an inexpensive hotel for the night where you won't get hit on by crack whores or caught in the crossfire, just shoot me an e-mail and I can give ya some solid info! Wayne is scheduled to go on at 8:30 and play the whole night with a break in the middle. The American Legion in Byron, Mn., is just outside Rochester and has a BIG dance floor, plenty of tables and chairs for everyone, and inexpensive drinks... so come on down and party with us!
