My name is Neal Bowen. I'm a working bassist, church musician, bandleader, and private instructor in the Memphis area. I play bass in houses of worship, theater productions, pick-up club dates, jazz combos, rock bands, and have done pretty well free lancing. I've worked with Jackie Johnson, Michael Jeffery Stevens, James Kidwell, Gary Topper, Rick Latham, Jimi Jamison, Jamie Baker, Jeremy Horn, Scott Sudbury, Oteil Burbridge, Shawn Lane...That's enough name dropping. I also have a jazz trio, NB3 (The Neal Bowen Trio), and we play lots of corporate events, wedding receptions, the occasional club gig, and generally for people with too much money. In a business where people tend to take themselves too seriously, I'm happy to help you make your next production or live project sound the way YOU want it to sound.
