After first hearing electronic dance music on the radio @ the Steve Mason Experience in the early 90’s, a whole new musical world opened up. N.E.O. discovered a great interest in DJ-ing and bought his first turntables a few years later. Around 1995 he got the chance to play as a resident DJ in an underground techno-club with a group of people that had the same ideas about electronic music.
This concept eventually turned into the “famous” Basic Grooves collective. Members included Metroline/Baxter Priestly (Triple Vision/Patterns/Stainless records), Fusion (Clone records), Joris Voorn (Sino/Green records), Edwin Oosterwal (Rejected), N.E.O. (Near Earth Object/Stratagem Musik) and 8-bit VJ-heroes the C-men. Currently working as an architectural engineer, making music and playing as a DJ.
Playing and producing records varying from deep electro and breakbeats to minimal and techno, depending on the kind of party.
