We're Near Town Boy! We originate from the big town of Billericay, Essex. The original members were Josh with his Guitar & Vocals and Varun with further Guitar & Vocals who first started playing together during 2005. Later additions to the band were John the Bassist and finally Joe keeping the time on Drums. With 4 members in the band we started to take the music more seriously. We played for two years before the addition of Ian on the Synth and adding the few odd Sound Fx's. After realsing that Josh couldnt sing we decided to let John sing and Varun play bass, hopefully now we have it sorted. The forming of the band pushed us forward into signing up for gigs and playing to the crowds. Events including battle of the bands and playing at schools out are under our belt and we look forward to more gigs. So keep your eyes peeled for more to come!!! Band practises are just a chance to practise hard , eat John's food and steal Joe's drum sticks with many new riffs poping up, catch one near you sometime soon! The struggle for band name has come to a natural end with the famous 'Near Town Boy' name sticking due to popular demand! :) We've started recording so expect to see new, quality tunes appearing in the player, feel free to add to your page and spread the word! We got some good talent in this band and we have high hopes to take it somewhere. So your support at the next gig will be greatly appreciated. For now, good bye and keep listening to Near Town Boy! =).
Yeah man :]
What year are you all in?
because thats the other thing, it's our GCSE year therefore finding time to practice is tough!
:]
But yeah, When we get some recordings, we'll let you know, and organise some stuff together :]
:)

good question the plan is like were writing acoustic stuff just me and jake so we'll perform some of that live but to end our set sometimes we will bring the extra guitarist and drummer on and do a heavy song that everybody will know but only on special shows :) so i rekon for the moment we will stay with the acoustic cause we are planning to record an e. p pretty soon which will be quality :) x
sweet yeah i enjoyed that it was wicked well that was our first proper gig really so onwards and upwards i think we well wanna gig some more in the future though and are looking for some decent bands to book dates with so if we find anything we'll hit you up if your up for it that is x
Aww thanks mate :]
We were stupidly unrehearsed :P
The thing is, me and kyle, are an acoustic thing, then we formed the heavier thang like a week before it took place :P
hahaha
still a lot of fun :D
Just to clarify, are you the band that did the killers ? :]

MojoKings play The Boundary in Norwich Saturday 20th December.
Lead by original Shakeout guitar man, Paul Scoulding, this will be the debut of the MojoKings in Norwich. Along with his 2 brothers, Marty and Rich Scoulding, Paul and co made Shakeout a real force to be reckoned with on the 90's psycho/neo scene...
"Now back with his new band, along with Lee Payne and Scotty Roberts, Mojokings have become one of the most popular bands on the rockabilly scene. They blend rockabilly/garage/trash/punk perfectly together to create a sound entirely their own, a sound that is now being copied by other bands on the citcuit.
MojoKings debut album, 'Got The Devil In Me', has sold in large numbers all over the world and even earned the band a 2008 Indy Awards nomination! Not band for a bunch of rockabilly's eh??"
