Hi there. Cheers for checking out my, uh, Myspace :p
My life at the moment revolves around music, namely Engineering and musical performance as a guitarist.
Since Jan 06 I've been performing as rhythm/ lead guitarist in the Slavic folk band, Zmena 5. We have gigs about once a month, which include weddings and slavic socials. It's a bit of fun, and somethnig that I took on to get a taste of my parents culture (in which I was brought up in), and for the sake of playing in a band after years of playing with myself.....that's right, jamming to Guitar Pro got boring.
Since my main musical passion is in metal, I'm hoping to get a project/ band started sometime in the next year. I just need to focus some time into getting some idea's down and developing the style and musical identity I would like to persue.
I'm open to getting to know all types of people on Myspace, so feel free to drop me a line. Bands can also feel free to advertise their gigs here (but introducing yourself to me first would be preferable).
I hope to see many of you out in the scene, thrashing away ..m/
I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
Thanks man! I think it had alot to do with the WIN sound that was coming out of there. Seriously, that was the best I have heard the deev sound in ever!
Indeed we do. I'll have to see what gigs are coming up soon. I'm not working at the moment, so I'll be able to go to afew more gigs. LORD should be pretty good. I've got Queensryche, Megadeth/Slayer, Arch Enemy and afew other gigs coming up, so I should hopefully catch you at one of those.
Tomorrow we're gonna upload on the myspace one track from our forthcoming album "Transmutate", we'd be very glad if you'll like to come on over and leave a message about it!
I'm mixing the EOTE/Septerrus show this coming Saturday (6th). As per usual you're welcome to come as part of 'teh audio crew'. It's the first and last gig I'll likely do in quite a while, as you know how I am with live sound.
Anyhow, I hope you're not booked out as usual, haha.
There's still a bit of buzz when chugging the Bb real heavily, but I think a tube amp would smooth it out so much that you wouldn't really notice. It only really comes out on my POS digital emulation. Pick scrapes and sounds in fact have a bigger impact on the tone at the moment. Jim still has to file down some of my frets just in case, but that'll get done later. For the time being it plays wonderfully... hard to get used to such a thick string, but it's nothing impossible!
If you play in straight B, try a .65 maybe. The thicker strings certainly don't muddy up the tone.. in fact, they increase clarity.
Well I think you'll be happy to know that the .070 seems to have fixed my buzzing issues on the guitar. I'd highly recommend getting some heavier gauge strings on your Hellraiser! Definitely at least .060 or above on the B. Tightens up the sound quite a bit too.
Het Daniel, Hope you are doing well mate. No Shows till later in the year. To busy with the recording and thats our main priority at the moment. Cheers Con
Hail Thanks for the add dude. haha yeh Im still blasting but some work needed hehe. What did you have in mind genre wise? Hope your doin' great dude. Cheers ..m/ -P-
Sounds good. Although you know how lazy I can be when it comes to driving that distance, so we'll see I guess :p
On a tangent, I don't suppose you'd still be willing to help me out with making those acoustic panels? It turns out Pony are ripping all the rockwool out of their current facility when they move, and they're giving it away for free... So I don't know if you were into that, but we may be able to get enough for both of us. Or if not that, Damien said they found some stuff they used in their new facility which kicks arse.
Hey man. Nah unfortunately I can't make it this weekend. It's my mums 40th so we're going away for the weekend. Bad timing, means I miss Porcupine Tree as well, but ahhh well, I can't go to them all I suppose haha. Enjoy yourself, it should be an amazing gig!
