Necktie Killer is an independent ska/rock band formed in 2007 in Redmond, Oregon. Originally formed by 7 former schoolmates at Redmond High School, the group has performed primarily in the Central Oregon area for the last couple years and is starting to branch out to other markets. They have played numerous bars, festivals and concert halls, and shared the stage with acts such as Mad Caddies, The Toasters, and The Supervillains. Considering themselves to be at the forefront of the fourth wave of ska, Necktie Killer incorporates a wide range of musical styles including, funk, hip-hop, punk, metal, dub and reggae. The lyrics should appeal to anyone who struggles with themself, enjoys the occasional mind altering substance, scoffs at romance, and has ABSOLUTELY no trust or love for the man. NtK also gives a unique take on a variety of covers, ranging from Rancid to Sublime to The Raconteurs to Garth Brooks. The diversity in musical influence amongst the members has caused the band to put together a very eclectic set. Chances are, they'll be in your town at your bar before to long, so get ready. The Rude Boy is comin, and he's rockin a Necktie. Oi, bitches!

NtK is a group that prides itself on musical versatility. Combining funk, hip hop and even some metal elements with the ska, punk, dub and rock that the genre was known for during the third wave. In their first two years of being a performing band, the group has played well over 100 shows in the Bend/Redmond Oregon area and is now occasionally taking the act on the road. Look for a full length album in the very near future as well. All seven members are accomplished and potent musicians in their own right, and all are involved to some degree in the song writing process. This is a big reason for the stylistic diversity in the music. Necktie Killer is a firm advocate of skankin, partyin, bravado, and tellin the man to get fucked. The Rude Boy is comin, and he's rockin a tie. Now good day.
