Renowned for their energy, atmosphere and power, «The Occult Metal Legends» (BW&BK) NECRONOMICON has been regularly on the road since 2001, sharing the stage with important bands like Morbid angel, Mercyful fate, Cannibal Corpse and several others, as well as performing direct support on the road for bands like Deicide, Cradle of filth, Dimmu Borgir, and the most recent being with Behemoth on a 6 week coast to coast tour. Last April the band was asked to play on an exclusive date with Dimmu Borgir and Behemoth in Montreal on the former’s North American tour, making NECRONOMICON the only band in the continent that was added to the bill to any of the shows. At this venue a crowd of 2 000 euphoric people equally enjoyed watching the bands.
Considered by many as «the only black/death metal worth listening in North America» (David perry BW&BK), NECRONOMICON aims nothing less than the top, and because of that, wherever the band performs, it tends to leave a mark to be remembered by everyone.
«The return of the witch», the 5th release of the band, is nearly finished. On that powerful and occult themed album, The band promises to be stronger, faster and more precise than ever. The band is working hard to set itself for conquest. With the new album they hope to set foot on the old continent for the first time, and keep on rocking the world and recruiting fans wherever they go.
«The time is now» video clip, first single of the new album, is now in large scale production. This audiovisual work will be rendered with high professional quality and be released to promote the upcoming record internationally. another clip is being planned to be created for approximately six months months after «The Return of the Witch» is officially released to the market.
«The return of the witch» was produced by Bart Frydrychowics (Quo Vadis, Plasma Rifle) and Mastered at Maor Appelbaum Mastering, California by Maor Appelbaum (Yngwie Malmsteen, Halford, F5, Driver, Therion, Sigh, Madder Mortem and more).
