Necrophobic was formed in Stockholm, Sweden in 1989. In contrast to the greater part of the death metal scene at that time, Necrophobic was influenced by band's such as Bathory, Slayer, Morbid Angel, Venom etc., band's with a darker and more evil output.
Necrophobic has a strong vision when it comes to their music and the atmosphere surrounding it all. By never compromising that vision to gain popularity and by sticking to it throughout the years, their fan base has grown stronger and stronger as time has gone by.
