All recorded materials with the exception of the album "ego", were performed and recorded by Reverend Grimm only, unless otherwise noted.

Originally an ambient black metal band, Necrotized Flesh was an idea that was conceived in 1999 as a solo vehicle for The Reverend Brett Grimm. It continued to fruition as a hobby for Reverend Grimm while he was out of commission recovering from a burst appendix. The early years were plagued with poor production values that were mainly blamed on a lack of proper recording gear. Over the years that followed, Necrotized Flesh has undergone numerous transformations in areas such as quality of production as well as song writing and the caliber of contributing musicianship.

The first Necrotized Flesh recording was a 4 song demo entitled "The Flesh That Is Necrotized". This cassette tape demo was released in 1999 and only 6 copies of this disc were ever made. At this point only the master 8 track cassette tape exists. Numerous singles and one-off compilation recordings took place between 1999 and 2002. Not a single one of these ever saw the light of day in public due to the poor cassette based production quality.

The second released effort was the demo that was released in 2003, featuring 8 songs. This CD was less misguided than the previous demo and was given the title "The Holy Trinity". The full length CD "The Burning Christ" followed next on 2/5/2005 with 13 well produced songs. On 5/5/2005 the extended single "EP" was released featuring 7 songs of oddities and rare tracks. Late 2007 saw the release of the massive double LP, aptly titled "ego". This release featured blistering guitar solos by guest musicians including David "Jiggy Fly", Matt "The Devastator" Scriva and Ian "Captain Morgan" Ortiz. Another area that was new to Necrotized Flesh at this point were a series of vocal harmonies that are as operatic as they are metal.

Due to various circumstances beyond control, 2008 saw the focus of NF shift back into the one man band format that caused Necrotized Flesh to grow in the first place. A few singles were released in 2008. The most notable, "Solitude" was used as background music in an international advertisement for a major amplifier company during the winter holidays.

Currently Necrotized Flesh is in the middle of the writing process for a new concept album, due out by summer of 2009. This CD will feature guest guitarists Ken Kuehn and Ian "Captain Morgan" Ortiz

This is only the beginning for the cacophany of metal that is Necrotized Flesh!
