"...sent shiver's down my spine….like Thom Yorke’s Eraser with a bit of a Dubstep vibe and some Post-Rock influences…” Huw Stephens - Radio One Introducing
"Intriguing and fantastic!" John Kennedy - XFM
"We love Nedry on this show!" Tom Robinson - BBC 6 Music
"...A big soundscape, absolutely fabulous...melodic guitar, electronic sounds, ambient noises and lots of distortion. Some of the songs really kick off, it's fantastic!" Ruth Barnes - Resonance FM
"Gently skittering electronics and slow-building, spacious ambience - Nedry's gorgeous, minimal soundscapes are tailor made for the wee hours." Q Magazine
"Synthed drums, ecstatic guitar. Very much liking it. A sorta apocalyptic hip-pop. Like a bleak Dan Black." Times Music
"Evoking everything from Bjork to Joanna Newsom and Beth Gibbons herself; and when they're fusing this talent with the subtle waves and the techno punch on closer 'Where the dead birds go' and undoubted highlight 'Swan Ocean', it's highly innovative stuff." Rock-A-Rolla
"...eyeing post-rock's rainswept soundscapes from afar while ensuring the bass and beat are kept running" Kev Kharas - The Stool Pigeon
"Laptop music one would consider as a genre in it's infancy, though rapidly maturing. Many aspiring electronic types that fart synths and piss bits spend their days huddled away from daylight in murky bedrooms - certainly opening up the democratic process in music creation terms; the result of this being you of course are going to have to sort through the sub-par to get to the good stuff. In some cases though, you stumble upon a sound that becomes genre defining; Hello Nedry...Taken on the whole, it’s an elective journey of Bjork proportions, one which is bold and outstanding – think Efterklang if they were to drive into an urban nightmare, have a manic creative fit, a nervous breakdown, and compose a beautiful soundtrack to it." The 405 - Condors album review 9/10"
"Full of dubstep shuddering, ghostly vocals and erratic twitching beats its electrified earshot stands out - the soundtrack of modern day dreams and nightmares" Breaking More Waves Webzine
"Think of a hypnotic Boards of Canada. Their connection on stage is almost telepathic, and invites the audience to share their dreamy mood." Music Utopia Webzine
"charming indie electronica…early Arab Strap nuances thru Lamb, Underworld and a lickle dubstep delirium. The old Bristol axis of Tricky, Massive Attack etc is certainly in here too as is Bjork. Good stuff." Bugbear London
"With a great combination of melodic guitar, electro beats and ambient glitches Nedry create a unique and arresting sound of their own." Digital Gig Webzine
"Sassy sounding vocals go alongside the sweeping sounding electronics that slowly build momentum before crashing in to one final rhythm." Hecklerspray Webzine
"'Apples and Pears', 'Clouded' and 'Mars Lid' are a trio of soothing melodies, blissful keyboard notes and calming waves of electronic energy. These songs wrap themselves slowly around your body awakening your spirit and clearing out the mind. 4/5" Nedry SZ Review - The Mag Webzine
"You know that kind of haunted sound Beth Gibbons out of Portishead has, where her voice seems to lose control in an upward spiral through the last syllable of each line? Well, Ayu out of Nedry’s managed to isolate that terrifying spirit and infuse it into every damn syllable she moans over the tri-polar spasms of the band’s downtempo but occasionally noisy electro-neurotic sound." Truck Festival
"Performing in The Beat Hive, a reliable source for all things synthy and bleepy, Nedry mix (literally) the best bits from many sonic universes – spell-binding electronica with ethereal melodic vocals from Ayu, as Matt and Chris huddle over their laptops, heads-bobbing in sync. Reminiscent of friends of The 405 Esben & The Witch, but grimier. Brooding in tone, Efterklang style, yet enough to make you’re feet want to move, their minimal soundscapes are a great start to the day" The 405 - Truck Festival Review
Nedry are Matt Parker , Chris Amblin and Ayu Okakita . Following a series of internet based interactions between 2007 and 2008, the three-piece decided to meet face-to-face in the spring of 2008 in order to explore their bordering on obsessive ideas of how electronic and analogue instrumentation could collide, fuse and synergise within a live setting. Combining this obsession with their shared first love of the movie Jurrasic Park, Chris Amblin and Matt Parker began performing live as Nedry throughout the latter half of 2008. During this period, as a two-piece, they developed a distinctive sound, setting the foundation for vocalist Ayu Okakita's return to the band in early 2009. Having spent Christmas in her native Japan, Ayu Okakita arrived back in her adopted home town of London with a desire to push Nedry's style into new, exciting directions, applying her voice both lyrically and as a looped instrument that would intertwine with the tri-polar spasms of the band’s downtempo but occasionally noisy electro-neurotic sound.

Ah cheers. Yeah i mean it's one of my favourite venues in Norwich. One of the best but smallest gigs i've been to was partyshank there, such a good place for synths and electro stuff. Have you been around that area before? I'd defo like to see you guys live :) x
You should definately play Norwich Art Center, that would be an immense gig. Do you have an EP or anything at all? I couldn't see anything on your page :) xxx
wow, yeah that's what i tought. but i'm happy to be working in a school, so i can enjoy a few sun rays at least.
oh boy! the second of feb? that's near to my birthday, haha. but it would be more great, if i was able to get one of those sneaks!
hm, march and april.. i guess it can be hard to find something.. because i've got no contact to any promoters around here. what size are you thinking of? i could name you some sweet smaller locations to throw a concert near dresden, if you want, but i'm badly sorry that i can't do more.
But seeing you live in concert near my home would be great!
thanks matt, very kind of you. the video was created by emma and i's friend...emma confusingly enough. she is an incredibly talented young lady. well, they both are. anyway, this is waffle now. sorry about that! next year i might take you up on that psychology text book vibe you were on about. x
Hi Matt, Thanks! I write a lot of synth pop too under a different name

hm, what's up in germany, good question. the weather sucks. rainy, cloudy, all to dark and i come home from work, when it gets dark! but for this time of the year, your music is just perfectly suitable!
i'm really glad to found you. can't wait to get condors.
Been meaning to send you a message about that actually. I've been getting some work as a sound designer lately and that's taken up quite literally all my time, as they're big projects. Which is great, but also a pain in the arse because I'm itching to finish this remix, because I think what I have so far is pretty cool. Anyway, if I can get this current crop of stuff done and dusted as planned I'll get the fucker done at last and send it your way soon. ("soon" = within a week or so)
Cheers for the patience and I hope you won't think its crap after all this!
