IN SEARCH OF THE NEEDLES
Formed in Aberdeen, the band are Dave Dixon (guitar / lead vocals), Paul Curtiss (bass), Richey Wolfe (keyboards / vocals) and Johnny Wolfe (drums / vocals). They came together at the end of the 1990s as a means to survive the trials and tribulations of school together, they quickly became the biggest band in town... When we started out we loved Guns n Roses and Nirvana, but they were too complicated for us, explains wired singer Dave Dixon. Britpop meant nothing to us because we were detached from it it seemed like a London thing so we turned to the simplicity of the earliest rock n roll for inspiration. There was something quite sinister about Gene Vincent but tender too. There was an ambiguity there. Raw, exciting rock n roll made utter sense to us.
blah blah blah we had alot of crap about who the band supported, press stuff, radio and tv plays etc here but let the music make your mind up or not...

Dear Boys - SXSW was not the same without you this year. I couldn't bear the thought of chicken shit bingo without you, so I skipped it. I miss you like crazy! Hope you are all well.
Hey guys, I am still listening to in search of album and was looking forwad to hearing more of your stuff. it is a pain that you have called it a day, but all the best anyway! Cheers Scott A Fan
Hey Guys, Sad to hear that you've called it a day. Really good bands are hard to come by so it's a sad loss when they finish. We'll still be listening to 'In Search Of...' Was a pleasure to have the chance to play with you.
Some of you or all of you will be back with a vengeance. Please don't hesitate to tell me when you are.
I interviewed you boys for Whisperin' and Hollerin' (Dave and Paul) before a gig at Night & Day in Manchester. Your new record was just out, and your drummer was still on his way back from Sweden, after falling in love there. It was Friday, a dead sunny summers' evening, and we went to a bar where they sell pink/orange coloured house scrumpy. I remember Paul asking me for a Magniers, and him getting lager (nerves, sorry mate!) - we sat on metal beer kegs out the back to do the interview - I'm a shitty interviewer, but you were both cool, and threw in loads of quotes for me, despite being dead tired. Your gig was fucking ace.
On the way back to the venue you told me about pals of yours that were big chongers, whose heads were in semi-permanent meltdown. I thought that this was a wee piece of advice from y'both, or maybe that I reminded you of your chong-head pals?
I know how much you train travelled, and worked your balls off, and the music was tight, and full of quality.Your stage presence was brilliant: You entertained! I hope you had a brilliant farewell gig - if you are ever in Manchester, don't heasitate to let me know, I'll buy yis a bevy - If you hear any decent bands you would recommend to anyone, please recommend them to me.
If you FORM another group, or start another musical project, you must let me know about it.
All the very best to you all, and to Scott your manager, with whatever you do in life.
Good luck always
Mike Roberts Whisperin' & Hollerin'
P.S. I have an A3 sized poster for your album in my bathroom, like fans do :-)

Oh no! So you are another band in the long line of bands I love that've split up in 2007... This year must have been cursed somehow! Anyway, you shall be missed. Shame I never got to see you guys play live. xx
Hasnt the Lemon Tree shut?! Is your gig still going ahead? If so, it's the megabus for me...
If it is shut then why dont you play your last ever gig in Glasgow then? Or, better still, just bin the whole splitting up shenanigans and play lots more gigs in Glasgow!
I feel as though my heart's been ripped out and stamped on 138 times. Please tell me your last ever gig is to be rescheduled or rehomed or I should just die. I'll ALWAYS love you!!!!! Dramatique? Moi? D x
