“Getting signed by a record label, writing a full record, and recording with “A list” producers and engineers, before ever playing our first live show as a group, seems backwards to most, but for us, it is just the way it happened,” says front man Garrett McArthur.

Originating from Columbus, Ohio in 2006, Garrett McArthur (lead vocals, piano, guitar), and Danny Mareco (lead guitar), have been writing, recording, and performing with each other ever since. In late 2006, McArthur and Mareco moved to Los Angeles, California, where they heavily played shows in and around Hollywood, to try to establish a name for themselves (under another band name). In very little time, they found themselves playing for major record labels at sold out showcases.

In early 2007, while industry professionals really started taking notice, TJ Hartmann (drummer) and Jonathan Beveridge (bassist) joined the band. After many private playing sessions, they signed their first record deal in late 2007.

“Because we wrote and recorded our entire first album in a matter of months, we were expected to be a very tight band. With this expectation on our shoulders, we strive to put on the best live show in any setting.” says McArthur.

After recording their self-titled debut album, they still had yet to play their first live performance as a quartet, and still did not have a name.

“After months of deliberation, we felt kind of defeated. We were driving in the car, and Danny shouted “What about NEEDMORE?” Garrett turned around and said “Dude, that name is terrible,” says drummer TJ Hartmann.

The name stuck, and so did their presence, as they began to corner the Southern California market of Orange County. A grassroots fan base that started in Huntington Beach, grew into a loyal fan base of 1,000+, week after week!

“We are so very thankful for everyone that would come out and see us every week,” adds bassist Jonathan Beveridge.

From there, they decided to relocate to Ohio for a while, starting another grassroots fan base in a completely different area of the country. They also do multi-level online marketing ON THEIR OWN, which has resulted in a mob-like following on several different social networking websites!

“We really have been on our own this entire time, and realized that what we need to do is to start these little “fires,” city by city, to get everyone excited about us,” says guitarist Danny Mareco.

NEEDMORE, hands down, is currently one of the hardest working bands in the United States. They have been named a top band by AOL MUSIC (Ourstage) two consecutive times in 2008, and again two more times in 2009! NEEDMORE has also garnered over 7 MILLION spins on the social networking phenomenon MySpace Music; accruing thousands upon thousands of spins per day. Working very closely with TV & Film, NEEDMORE has acquired placements of their songs in major motion pictures (20th Century Fox, Lakeshore Entertainment, etc.) as well as on soundtracks joining the likes of Nickelback, Mutemath, Jonas Brothers, and many other accomplished and successful names in the music industry.

Recently, NEEDMORE finished recording in Los Angeles with Grammy nominated Producer Tom Keane [Kanye West, Chicago, Chaka Kahn, Whitney Houston, etc.], Grammy winning producer/engineer Wyn Davis [Guns N Roses, Sublime, No Doubt, MuteMath, etc.], and Grammy nominated engineer Joe Gastwirt [Pearl Jam, 311, Lifehouse, Grateful Dead, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, etc.] on their forthcoming album.

NEEDMORE is not just a great recording artist though, they pride themselves on their LIVE performance. The members of NEEDMORE have played in many, many venues across the world [from the world famous "Hollywood Bowl," to New Years eve celebrations in Mumbai, India (with A.R. Rahman and Nelly Furtado) to colleges and universities across the nation].

They recently ended a successful tour (playing with Gym Class Heroes) and are currently headlining a national college tour! Additionally, they are in contact with other major recording and touring artists (via their management) such as "Goo Goo Dolls," "The Fray," "Incubus," "Daughtry," "Mutemath," and "Lifehouse," in an effort to put together upcoming tours.
