My kin people are buried amongst the cobblestone streets of Newark, NJ (Brick City); Negro League Hall Of Famer, Francis Matthews, played for the Newark Eagles. As children, we jumped rope to the Jackson Five on South 11th and 17th Streets. I was born at Martlin Medical Center, which, now cares for the overwhelming increased numbers of HIV/AIDS patients. Some of my sweetest memories of childhood are of this great City...Newark. We ALL come from somewhere...but, can we all go back?
