I am an actress and a former nurse that lives in Los Angeles now but grew up and lived in Masschusetts for most of my life. I have lived in several states though. I worked for years as a nurse although I had dreamed of being in acting when I was young and was not only not encouraged but discouraged from that. My parents insisted on participating in sports, not school plays and college prep for my future nursing career that they had in mind. Acting in their opinion was a "pipe dream". They had great intentions and my parents were the best but I really wish they encouraged me instead of making me think that acting is a pipe dream and you need to have nursing as it's always needed. Nursing was fulfulling but I am done with nursing permanently. I know that I'm at an age that isn't a good time to be breaking into the business. But, I am a half glass full type of person in spite of some horrible things that have happened. In my lifetime I have always tried to always treat people w/respect and the way I would like to be treated.

I have four brothers and one sister. I have two grown sons and one daughter-in-law and one grandson who was born in August of 2001.

I love Los Angeles and all there is to do here. Always something to do. I do miss my family and friends which I consider family. I have many acquaintances but few close friends and they all know who they are. I will not post a picture of my grandson as I do not think anyone should post pix of their kids or grandkids because of the people that will steal that pic & do w/it as they choose. It could land all over the internet and in the hands of the wrong people and I do not think that is what people think when they post their precious loved ones...the little ones. So, protect them.

One thing I wish I never did was give up my maiden name. I really like it. I love the name I have but your maiden name is simply a part of who you are. I think anyone that has children should make sure that the middle name happens to be whatever your maiden name is if the childs name is different. Just my opinion from years of experience. I wanted both of my sons to have my maiden name for their middle names. My ex insisted that their middle name be his first name...a sign of his insecurities & I caved & have always regretted it. My grandson has his Mom's maiden name for his middle name and I think that's as it should be.

I will continue w/my acting and am a member of SAG. I am thankful for all of our writers, directors, producers for all they do. I also appreciate and am thankful to all the crews that works on sets. It's incredible what they are able to do to make the actor look good. Thanks.
Who I'd like to meet: I'd like to meet people that are artists, actors, comedians, musicians or just simply interesting people. No drama queens and kings unless they save that for the stage where it belongs. Leave egos at the door.... I want a friendly place and ideas that carbonate me.
Don't bring me down.
