About me: I am a Chicago based artist who works under the name NegroEgo. My current works are silhouette portraits of black men which on surface appear to be commentaries on race but are actually narratives of my struggle with major depressive disorder. I'm striving to achieve greater mental clarity and producing art connects me to a higher level of possibility.
Who I'd like to meet: It would be cool to: establish eye contact with Erykah Badu; share a raw food meal with Lisa Bonet; watch TV with Terrence Howard; ride in a limo with Pamela Anderson; have a laugh with Patti Austin; be photographed by Barron Claiborne; hang out in a recording studio with the RZA; shake Pedro Bell's hand and track down Betty Davis to try and convince her to come out of seclusion.
