About me: I live in South Minneapolis with my cat Tim. I work in social services and that takes up most of my energy. The rest I use on sports, shopping, drinking margaritas, shopping, listening to rock and/or roll, hanging out with friends and family, stuff like that.
You Have a Melancholic Temperament
Introspective and reflective, you think about everything and anything.
You are a soft-hearted daydreamer. You long for your ideal life.
You love silence and solitude. Everyday life is usually too chaotic for you.
Given enough time alone, it's easy for you to find inner peace.
You tend to be spiritual, having found your own meaning of life.
Wise and patient, you can help people through difficult times.
At your worst, you brood and sulk. Your negative thoughts can trap you.
You are reserved and withdrawn. This makes it hard to connect to others.
You tend to over think small things, making decisions difficult.
I was going to go camping over the weekend, but this is definitely NOT camping weather. So me and some friends went to check out Dueling Pianos. Those guys are amazing - they can play just about any song that's been on the radio between 1950 and 2005.
Speaking of music, I wanted to let you know about a show we have @ Station 4 on Friday, October 16th. We are debuting a project called Sonic Transformations. It is a series of audio-visual performance pieces. The first one is called "AN OBJECT TO CRAVE". It features live music and visuals based on a short story about life, love, loss, fantasy, obsession and death.
Another group of mine, The Magnetrons, which plays an exciting and innovative Livetronica set (i.e. STS9, Disco Biscuits, The Histronic) will also be playing. The night will be full of creative, interesting, high-energy music, good drinks and good times.
Here's the info:
Blood Root Mother - "An Object to Crave" w/ The Magnetrons & Thought Thieves Friday, October 16th Station 4 201 E 4th St St Paul, MN 55101 9pm / $5 / 18+
I just wanted to stop by to say hello and give you a little update on what Blood Root Mother is up to! We will be recording an EP of new music in August, and we recently finished recording a live DVD. The DVD is currently unreleased and I actually just saw it for the first time a few days ago. It features the last two performances with Tony Ellis still alive, and some footage from the tribute show we played on the night of his funeral.
There are some cool covers, as well as some NEW music that will be on our upcoming EP. We're very excited about the new music and we'd like to share a sneak peak with you. Here's a video of a new tune called Run Bobby Run:
Blood Root Mother will be playing at Trocaderos in Minneapolis on Friday, June 26th. I cannot stress enough how awesome this show will be!! We're playing with three of the sweetest local rock bands: Claret, Niobium and Casanatra. If you haven't heard these guys, check them out immediately! Please come to this show!!
I recommend stopping by during happy hour for two for one drinks along with free buffet, which is delicious. We'll be hanging out at Trocs all night, so come by and chill/party with us :)
Again, here's the event info:
Friday, June 26th Trocaderos 107 3rd Ave N Minneapolis, MN 18+ // $6 // 8pm
Please come out and support some great local music!! Music starts at 9:30pm, we should go on around midnight. Invite your friends, pile into a car (or a party bus), and together we will make this one of the highlights of the summer :)
Hah!!! That's what I thought. Cool, softball should be fun. I wish I was in something like that, I really really want to join Tae Kwon Do again but I am so out of shape and I don't have Health Insurance right now. So do you have the Swine Flu yet? hahaha
Hey girl!!! Yeah life is pretty o.k. I just found out I got a scholarship, due to my exellante GPA. Wish I knew how much it was for though...... How are you doing???
Alright, so there I am at Lorenzo's - loading up my slice of the fixin's bar.. garlic, and what-not.. mmm, mmm.. and I see this guy over at the pizza boxes giving me the stink-eye. So I give hime the crook-eye back, you know.. Then, I notice that he's not alone! I'm taking on the entire Van Buren Boys! Oh yeah, and they're just as mean as he was! So, I make a move to the door, you know, they block it! So, I lunged for the bathroom. I grab the knob - Occupado! Then they back me up against the cartoon map of Italy, and all of the sudden, they just stop. Because I'm still holding the garlic shaker.. Yeah.. like this I'm only showing eight fingers. That's their secret sign! See, Van Buren, he was the eighth President. They thought I was a former Van B. Boy!
Hmmm....I think that will work. However I have a birthday shindig thingy that Friday - I don't think anything is going on Sat or Sun. I think Tomas will be gone that weekend also - in Winnipeg.
By the way lady....thanks for the game!!! Was a fun weekend! Sorry for the late night text on Monday...and for the language! GEEZ!!! We had a little too much fun that night. :)

I love you too! I will, I have been thinking about you alot but it is always a bad time - like when your at work, or I'm at work...oh wait, I'm always at work. No wonder it's hard for me to get anything done :)
Maybe you should've taken the game home... I'm starting to really really like it. I'm getting much better than I thought I could. I'm wearing those pants, V.Nice, but yes, a little big. Yay, maybe I'm finally loosing a little weight.
I can't believe you got all headachy at your party, you barely even had a drink. Come back and get all your stuff soon. I had fun, thanks for a good theme and good times. the M&M's rocked.
