“This is one horror film that must be seen to be believed! It’s not lightheartedly humorous, it’s not forgiving, and it’s a hell of a challenge to watch certain scenes because of their repulsive contents, but these are the perfect ingredients for what is essentially a perfect horror film.”
"There were some very sick minds at work here, and DEADLY END benefits from them...The special effects by Leonard McDonald were almost TOO realistic – like I said, this movie is NOT for the squeamish – but that’s better than having them look fake. And Whifler has managed to show, and I quote the distributors, “at least one disturbing image of every bodily fluid that humans can produce". With moments of truly black humor combined with the beyond ultra-conservative, twisted evangelical ideas about women and sex that Adrien has and the things that go on behind people’s locked doors, “DEADLY END” will really make one wonder just a little more about who their neighbors really are. And a little more fearful…"
"With a strong cast, an easily related to story, and top-shelf makeup effects, DEADLY END is the kind of disturbingly real film seen all too rarely these days. At its heart it’s still an indie movie, bringing with it some of the trappings that implies, but easily stands tall as a different kind of horror film…one that could take place right next door."
"This movie is just plain nasty, totally disgusting, a vomit-inducing son-of-a-bitch and I couldn’t be happier...DEADLY END manages to be creepy and appealing without resorting to killing a cat or a dog, or raping anyone (current trends in horror I’ve had about enough of), yet it maintains its own quiet dignity. Perversion, poison, sadistic masturbation and self-taught surgery - this movie has it all. The tagline is absolutely right: never take candy from a stranger."
"As I sat and viewed Graeme Whifler's DEADLY END, I was hard pressed to think of a movie that could compare, on a nauseation scale. I, a seasoned veteran of horror films and the tests they offer, found myself squirming in my seat, and at times, realized my face had become contorted, my nose scrunched and my eyes winced almost shut, struggling to remain still through it all. I wouldn't even put it in the top ten goriest films of all time. Its just a film that knows how to get into your stomach and TWIST...Final analysis: DEADLY END will stir the stomach of even the most desensitized horror fan - an absolute must see.
