Any dudes from that year 8 class at Queensbridge school, you guys are really cool!! Here is a reference from an English teacher (Jo Klaces) at Queensbridge, about the workshop we did at the start of July.

"Neighbourhood Theatre came into Queensbridge School (an inner city, 11-16 comprehensive school in Birmingham) to run a one-off drama workshop, based on Macbeth, with a class of 27 Year 8 children.

Their approach was utterly porfessional; they all arrived well in time and set about independently organising the space for their needs. They were, at all times, cognisant of the demands of the school timetable and the curriculum and were well ready to accept the students into the space on the bell.

THe workshop was fantastic. The students, a lively mixed ability group were fully engaged from the outset. Neighbourhood Theatre took them trhough a range of warm up activities then supported them in devising scenes from Macbeth for performance - all achieved within the hour. The performances that the group extracted from the students were outstanding. Feedback from the students has been entirely positive and it is clear that they all learned a great deal, both about performance and about the play. As teachers we were hugely impressed with the energy, skill, commitment and good humour of each of the members of Neighbourhood Theatre. It was a wonderfully happy and productive hour.

We are very grateful to the group for coming to Queensbridge and putting on such an excellent workshop and would be very glad to have them again, for as many sessions as they could possibly manage."
