Neil's Blurbs |
About me:
I am a novelist. My first novel "Betrayal in Naples" was published two years ago by Penguin. It won a best first novel award. It was also very well reviewed. Sales have been less good; but OK. My new novel "Saving Caravaggio" was short-listed for the Costa Novel of the Year (formerly Whitbread Prize), and is currently sold out, awaiting reprint. At this moment - precisely - I am working on novel number three set in Buenos Aires. I also write the occassional play for Radio 4. I have a blog at Guardian Unlimited where, once every two or three weeks, I take stock of the difficulties of novel writing.
I live in London with my partner, Bridget and our twins, Wilder and Macleod.

Who I'd like to meet:
People interested in discussing creative writing, and books, and getting published; it's increasingly a hard thing to do...
