About me:
MySpace Layouts
MySpace Layouts
I am a novelist. My first novel "Betrayal in Naples" was published two years ago by Penguin. It won a best first novel award. It was also very well reviewed. Sales have been less good; but OK. My new novel "Saving Caravaggio" was short-listed for the Costa Novel of the Year (formerly Whitbread Prize), and is currently sold out, awaiting reprint. At this moment - precisely - I am working on novel number three set in Buenos Aires. I also write the occassional play for Radio 4. I have a blog at Guardian Unlimited where, once every two or three weeks, I take stock of the difficulties of novel writing. I live in London with my partner, Bridget and our twins, Wilder and Macleod.
Who I'd like to meet:
People interested in discussing creative writing, and books, and getting published; it's increasingly a hard thing to do...

As you may or may not know, I turned twenty-five the other day. Instead of gifts this year, I'm asking everyone to join my Email List on www. jjhebert. net. Unconventional, my newest novel, will be published by Mindstir Media later this year, and joining the Email List will ensure that you receive updates regarding my book release, contests, giveaways, and more.

Is getting published increasingly hard? Or, are the rules just changing?

Thanks for your advice and encouragment once more. I was once doing pretty okay in Business & IT, I feel like a veritable virgin in my new peer group. But your words of encouragment and compass points of direction have been invaluable. I wish you the best, or Pob Hywl as we say in Wales.
