Hey thanks for the great show in Irvine hope you could read my one banner I saw you looking pretty hard to read ounce (The road goes on forever and the party never ends) HA HA! (San Diego luvs rush)also! CRAZY no mushrooms and cross this time july 30 07! a way in is a way out!
Stellar performance in Mansfield Neil (and your backup players too). You guys were both strong and cheery! I think I was in your line of sight when you might have been looking at that WOOD poster! I was glad my son didn't see it.
I especially liked when you were working the toms a lot over the new foot pattern in the solo. It just seemed more PEART. I love the ESL styled poster. Kind of a "generations" concept. My son Eric & I got to try your current snare at the Drum Shop in Portland earlier in the day. Very finely tuned instrument, he and I both can see why you like it so much. I did not see a bevel recess for the snares as you have had in the past.
I left the Comcast Center in a happy mood and also with a sense of awe over what you guys are able to pull off. Enjoy your days off sir.
Greetings from Scandinavia. Hope you guys come to Europe again some time, you know we love you. Attended the Rotterdam show first night 2007, cant wait for the DVD. Thanks for all the good music you bring to us. RUSH RULES 4-EVER...
Hi Neil, First of all, thanks for coming to Vancouver! It was a great show! Unfortunately I forgot my license plate. My son was so impressed with all of you and had such a good time that every time I come home from work he is listening to Rush!! Everything from Xanadu to Vapor Trails. He also decided to write an essay about you for his English final. And he was wondering if you'd like to read it. If you can find some time I'll send it right over. Again, thanks for the Vancouver show!!! Hope to see you next tour!!!
"The Masked Rider" is a wonderful piece of work Neil. I could not put the story down. Perhaps it is the fact that African Percussion was one of my studies at The California Institute of the Arts, or perhaps it is because it so wonderfully written. Perhaps it is both. An excellent book Neil. Well done. Your writing is so descriptive I thought I was with you. And now, I understand even moreso where you get some of your lyrics from, e.g, "The Larger Bowl". Well done~ although, now I have finished all of your works, and have nothing to read.
So far, so good. Will be attending the St. Louis concert tomorrow night at 38 weeks, 2 days pregnant. I hope the baby doesn't decide to come in the middle of your solo just to be able to say he/she was there!
Howdy Sir! i just saw you guys Sat. in MA,it was the second time there on that tour, but 14th overall! i really enjoyed the show! i play drums with Matt's cousin Chris here in Falmouth, you got the good cousin!
Hey y'know, you were right! In the future there probably will be no combustion engines, but there will still be outlaws who want to race their Red Barchettas that they spent a lifetime restoring. How prophetic.
As the tour winds down (only 17 more shows as I type this), I wonder what your plans are in the future? More books? More instructional videos? More adventures? Or maybe just taking it easy with your family?
Neil, what a ride it has been being a fan of yours and your music and whatever you decide to do in the future, I can only hope you will allow your fans to be involved!
Thanks for what has been the greatest tour I have ever seen in my life (and I have seen them all my friend!)
Troy (and Hope says "hi" too!) Houston, Texas, USA
Hi Neil, very much looking forward to seeing you play tonight. It will inspiring just like all the other ones. Just checking the weather and it looks very nice - cool, not sweltering like last year. Hope the show is very enjoyable for you. John & Eric
I just rode from Austin to New Orleans on my bike to hang out with my brothers, and on my way back through the east Texas forest country, I saw a rather clever church sign and immediately thought of you. (I know you like the clever ones.)
"Be ye fishers of men; you catch 'em, God will clean 'em."
The show in Detroit was tight. Your playing as always was supurb and inspiring. Everytime I watch you play its either I want to pick up the sticks as soon as I get home, or just give in and retire them forever. lol
To top off an already great 21st birthday I ended up with a guitar pick too!!(yellow w/snakes and arrows logo)
