Neja is from Turino, Italy, where she was born under the Leo sign. She falls hopelessly in love with music as a young child and later gets her start in show business by singing with gospel choirs and jazz bands. As a teenager, she realizes her dream thanks to her dance music. Everything starts out with the smash hits Restless and Shock! two chart-topping successes danced all over the world.
In 1999 Neja releases "The Game", the winning track from "A Song For The Summer". That same whirlwind year she performs it on the popular Italian music show Festivalbar and flies to Japan to promote the single. The Game also becomes the title of her first album, whose ten tracks let Neja expand her repertoire to include pop music "Fairytale" and "Mum's Day".
But "The Game" doesn't say goodbye to dance music: January 2000 sees a dance remix of "Fairytale" circulating around Europe. She travels to Germany to shoot a video to be distributed by Universal. Later that summer Neja releases the new single "Singin Nanana" and appears a second time on Festivalbar.
In 2001 Neja releases "Time Flies" and "Back 4 The Morning", the latter of which launches her for the first time into American consciousness. She flies to New York, Boston, and San Antonio for successful performances.
In 2002 Neja signs with Universal to sharpen her focus on pop music. Looking For Something is the summer hit that brings her for a third time to Festivalbar and opens the way to her second album "Hot Stuff", including the single "To The Music".
From 2003 to 2005, Neja performs for her devoted fans in Italy and other parts of Europe, as well as in India as a representative of an Italian clothing company.
And what will the future bring for Neja? She's been hard at work in the studio, and is waiting for the right moment to release her new music. She's working with a producer, Ivan Russo who had a smash hits with Ilona Mitrecey. Now Neja is working on electronic sounds and soon the new single will be out!
Non lasciatevi ingannare dal nome esotico: Neja è italianissima e vive vicino Torino, dove è nata sotto il segno del Leone.
Sin da bambina si scopre innamorata della musica e inizia a cantare jazz e gospel in tanti gruppi diversi. Il suo sogno però si realizzerà grazie alla dance.
Tutto iniziò con i singoli "Restless" e "Shock!", due successi indimenticabili ballati nelle discoteche di tutto il mondo.
A dimostrare che Neja non era un'illusione nel 1999 arriva il singolo "The Game", brano vincitore di "Un disco per l'estate". Nello stesso anno partecipa a tutte le puntate del "Festivalbar" e una lunga tournee la porta fino in Giappone.
The Game sarà anche il titolo dell'album di esordio. Neja è autrice dei 10 brani contenuti e per la prima volta strizza l'occhio al genere pop con i suoni di Fairytale e Mum's day.
Ma non si tratta di un addio alla dance, anzi, nel gennaio 2000 è proprio una versione remix di Fairytale a fare breccia nei circuiti radiofonici europei. In particolare, in Germania, viene licenziato dalla Universal che produce un video strepitoso!
Protagonista dell'Estate sarà poi il singolo "Singin' nanana", un brano di matrice latina, presentato al Festivalbar.
Nel 2001 è la volta di "Time Flies", e "Back 4 The Morning". Quest'ultimo subisce l'influsso di una sperimentazione house ed entra nelle classifiche dance degli Stati Uniti. Neja raggiunge così gli USA e si esibisce a New York, Boston e in Texas.
Con il passaggio alla Universal, nel 2002, la tendenza verso la musica pop diventa più marcata. Il singolo "Looking For Something" è protagonista in diverse puntate del Festivalbar e a fare da apripista all'album "Hot Stuff" arriva il singolo omonimo e "To The Music".
Negli ultimi anni Neja lavora a nuovi progetti musicali e continua a incontrare il suo pubblico in tante serate in Italia, Europa e, come testimonial per una nota marca di abbigliamento, arriva fino in India.
E il futuro? Dopo un periodo nell'etichetta indipendente Melodica, sta scrivendo insieme ad Ivan Russo, il produttore napoletano che ha venduto più di 3 milioni di copie in Francia con il singolo "a monde parfait", alcuni brani dal sound marcatamente elettronico.
