The Butcher's Tale--Murder and Anti-Semitism in a German town...by Helmut Walser Smith.
"Red Earth, white lies. by Vine Deloria Jr. He presents a very good argument against the pervasive and closed minded doctrines of modern science, religion, and government as they pertain to the Native American beliefs and history of our world.......
"When the Mississippi ran backwards-Empire, Intrigue, Murder, and the New Madrid Earthquakes." by Jay Feldman.......
I recommend all books written by C. S. Lewis: Mere Christianity, The Screwtape Letters, et al.

All of Edward Rutherford's novels. "Sarum~The novel of England", "London~the novel", "The Forest", et al. The Princes of Ireland is next on my list......
I really enjoyed the four books by Neil Peart. The masked Rider, Ghost Rider, Travelling music, and Roadshow~Landscape with drums~A concert tour by motorcycle. He is the drummer for the rock band RUSH. You can order his books on their website, www.RUSH.net or www.neilpeart.net......
Anyone have any recommendations?
Heroes
"My heroes - have always - been cowboys". Just kidding. All those people that perform small acts of kindness everyday that go unnoticed by the rest of the world. Sounds pretty sappy doesn't it?
I am currently playing drums in the "45 RPM" band in and around NE Kansas. From 2002 to 2008 I was the drummer in the Lawrence Free Methodist Church Praise Band. From March 2004 to April 2007, I was the drummer for The BLT Band-Topeka.
About me: I was born in Neb. in 1971. Moved to Florida a year later where we moved to a different town about every year it seemed. Lived in Caldwell, Idaho one year(1980), moved to Chase, Ks. and stayed there two years, spent my junior high and high school years in Wichita, Ks. and finally ended up in Lawrence, Ks. in 1992. My wife and I have been married for 14 years and have three children currently 14, 12, and 5.
I have been playing drums for 25 years now and as of Jan. 2008 I am the drummer in the newly formed 45 RPM Band.www.myspace.com/45rpmband After an eight month break it's nice to get out there once a month or so and play! I was previously the drummer and one of the founding members of The BLT Band out of Topeka, Ks. which I spent about three years in. I decided to leave at the end of April 2007 to spend more time with my children. I am available as an occasional fill in for local bands as well. More info about The BLT Band is available at www.thebltband.com
From 2002 to 2008 I played drums for two services every Sunday in my local churches Contempory Praise Band.
Enough about me, what about you?
