An independent, grassroots, old-school syle fest featuring much more than just awesome, danceable, rootsy and groovin' music in diverse and eclectic categories (hip hop, bluegrass, rock, world, etc - emphasis on danceable and musically impressive stuff). Bring your own booze, food, whatever, but healthy vending available on site (no alcohol sold, all bring your own). Featuring a 100% timberframe monster of a stage as well as a tent stage, with regular camping right in between (you can see the show from your campsite). Quiet camping option also available a short walk across the fields. Also featuring variety shows, morning yoga, fire sculpture burning, fire spinning, communal bonfires, giant puppets, a massive twister game, and much more. Family friendly but not watered down. This festival is designed to be an off the hook party and an intimate experience all at once - limited to around 2000 people max, it is the perfect size for a great time without being an out of control scene. We do not have the usual cast of obnoxious tour kids swingin' to custies...in fact, we discourage them and their activities to the point that they don't enjoy it much, but good people who know how to live, love, laugh and party with a consciousness LOVE it. We know of no fest like it in this neck of the woods (or anywhere else for that matter). This is 'da SHIT! TURN OFF YOUR TV AND TURN ON VT!

Trumystic, the powerhouse live dub alliance of the Northeast, has long been known for blending styles of music from different cultures with ease. Can they just as easily make the seemingly bland culture of politics seem, well, sexy?
Kirsty Rock, lead singer of Trumystic, does just that in the video for their new single "Blow Me Away." Armed with little more than a black bikini, motorcycles, a helmet (safety please!), and a billowy white scarf, she struts the streets of a picturesque New England town enticing everyone to get to the polls and vote. She is the pied piper, singing to the world, "If tomorrow didn't bring a brighter day, it wouldn't be the same . . . we can change. " Will you follow?
Once upon a time(august 08) there was a gentleman taking photos of NEKMF. He took a few photos of my friend and I hula hooping with other festival goers. I would really LOVE to find these photos.
