What happens when you put a bunch of bloodthirsty music-loving goblins together? Well, a lot of disembowelment, but also a lot of catchy tunes. Formed six millenia ago, and practicing only every other leap year on a full moon, the band has perfected their brand of crushing goblin music. Through the magic of MySpace, NEKROGOBLIKON is coming to your shitty computer speakers in horrible MP3 fuzz.
If you didn't believe that first part, NEKROGOBLIKON is a goblin metal band hailing from the grim metal locale of California, USA. We started as a summer side project of Nicky and Tim, but outgrew our humble beginnings quickly. Our debut album, recorded over Summer and early Fall of 2006 is Goblin Island, a musical hell-storm of goblin proportions. We released it ourselves, January 1st, 2007.
Next, we set out to put together a full band. We enlisted the help of Alex on vocals and Ashleigh ..boards. Spencer Bartz joined us on drums, and Alex A. and Austin joined us on second guitar and bass. Spencer played many shows with us in 2007, but then moved to Japan in August. We recruited Alex and Austin's friend Eddie Trager on drums to fill his mighty shoes. We are currently playing as many local California shows as we possibly can and honing our craft. We are also working on our second full-length album, currently untitled. A release date is hard to predict due to various goblin issues, but we're hoping for sometime in early 2009.
Nekrogoblikon has shared the stage with Cattle Decapitation, The Minibosses, MC Frontalot, Light This City, The Swellers, Spires, Burning The Masses, Warhead, Godstomper, Casket Blaster, Love Thyne, Immaculate Fatality, Three Mile Island, Verfallen, Desecrate, Mouth Of The Serpent, Screwdrive Suicide, Inquest, and others.
