Starting in the early 2000s, Nekru is a musician who has changed his style of music over time (see timespan of genres below). In 2008 Nekru released a four track EP under the name Egg Torture. The EP was intended as an esoteric joke, and was unsuccessful. However, one song did receive radio airplay. In late 2008, Nekru moved from making acoustic rock, to a more experimental sound. The album has been called “Cartoony Extreme Metal” by some.
Nekru released his second release, a demo entitled Demo ’08. It has been classified as being half metal, half joke. The demo was better than the EP, and had slightly more success.
Nekru has also made parody songs. He has been writing parodies since the early 2000s, and in 2009 he decided to record some. Due to the use of the original music, Nekru cannot sell his parodies.
In 2009, Nekru has settled into the genre of Ambiance, but not quite. Nekru always experiments in his work, and in 2009 he is going to release a full-length, self-titled album. The album will be part Ambient, part metal (vocals especially) and part industrial. Several tracks have been written, and more details are soon to come.
