Hey everyone! I guess after spending quite some time making a really flash official website, MySpace is a place where I can let my hair down, relax and "mingle" with my fans and friends.
So you want to know more about me? Well as you've probably guessed, I am a singer and songwriter from Australia. I was born in Portugal but came here where I was quite small so I really feel like a true blue aussie.
When I'm out and about people ask me what kind of music I write and I sometimes struggle to answer this question. I've been writing songs for 12 years now and it seems to constantly change. Right now I'm very electro/pop/dance, but my roots began in a bedroom (!!) playing acoustic guitar.
Lyrically I love being abstract and metaphoric but still sound straight forward. You'll understand what I mean when you hear a few of my songs and then read about their stories. The messages I try to get across are often very cryptic and layered!
My song "You Me Us We" was recently ranked in the Top 20 for Pop Up-tempo/Dance category of the 11th Annual "Unisong" International Song Contest (http://www.unisong.com) and has been accepted to the Uncharted Waters unsigned artist compilation album. It also won EQ Song of the Year for 2007.
Apart from singing I also love acting in both theatre and television, although I must say, singing and songwriting is my biggest obsession.
Talking of obsessions, I like to consider myself a truly independent artist (although not by choice). I'm so determined to get my music out there that I've worked really hard to resource and manage this project. After two years of work, I've finally released my debut EP "6th Perception". TTAS???? I love Spin!!! But TTAS is good too and would have to agree that for me it has more longevity... that is I am more likely to return to it and listen again.
