NELSON ROMEU ARE NOW SUPERSMILER! CHECK OUT WWW.MYSPACE.COM/SUPERSMILERBAND Songwriters Nelson Romeu was originally created in 2003 with Mark Nelson on guitar and Jackie Romeu on vocals. They had both risen from the ashes of rock/pop band Slinki Malinki, the last project that Gus Dudgeon(producer of David Bowie's Space Oddity and Elton's yellow Brick Road album) was involved with before his tragic death in a car accident in July 2002. Anxious to keep their musical talents alive and to preserve the faith Gus had had in their music, Mark & Jackie decided to launch Nelson Romeu as a duo project producing an inimitable blend of styles to produce wonderful pop songs and a diverse collection of material ranging from acoustic ballads to techno rock. Mark, who was born with his left arm only, plays the guitar in his own unique way (plus a few other instruments besides in the studio!) whilst Jackie, previously known for her superb drumming talents, amazes all with her heartfelt, gutsy & impassioned vocals. Watch out for 'World without Waves' which is a film they have provided soundtrack for. The band have also been collaborating with the brilliant London hip hop band The Lyrical Rebels. The Rebels have recorded a fine version of 'Hurts', which you can check out soon. The newly formed band have started to create a storm at live venues around London - check out their website at myspace.com./supersmilerband and are always on the lookout to write for other artists as they have a huge back catalog of material..
