About me:
I'm a geek/nerd/techno-monk who's interested in getting a life and meeting new people. I try to be open minded and except others as they are. While I am straight, I'm not narrow, and by that I mean "folks is folks" and that's part of life. My politics are somewhere between middle of the road and liberal. As for religion, I tell people that I am a Taoist Lutheran and when they ask "What's a Taoist Lutheran" my response is "Exactly" (meaning I have no clue what I am and I like it that way.)
I'm a cat person, but I do like dogs for the most part. Cats and computers tend to go together for some reason. I am also interested in the usual geeky stuff: science fiction, techno-culture, 50's Sci-Fi movies, and sciences such as astronomy, oceanography, meteorology, and last, but not least, retro-computing.
I'm at a point in my life where I am looking back and regretting not making more friends when I had the chance and I hope to fix that by posting here on Myspace. I'm a little uncertain about all of this because of being burned in the past, but I do hope to make some new friends here. I would really like to get back in touch with people I knew in the Seattle area during the 80's and 90's that were involved in the science fiction, comic, and gaming communities.

Who I'd like to meet:
For now I am just looking to make friends and get some sort of a social life. As I wrote above, I am looking to get back in touch with old friends I knew in the 80's and 90's as well as making some new friends. I would preferably like to meet with people who have the same interests as I do and are close to my age, though I am open to meeting anyone who's friendly.
It would be nice to meet others in the Seattle area, so we could meet in person and just do something casual, even if it's just meeting someplace to chat, and if you're not in the Seattle area, well we can chat or email each other.
Also I'm trying to get more exercise, especially walking which is hard to do here in Seattle during the Winter, so if you are looking for someone to go to a mall and just walk around with, drop me a line.
I am starting to rekindle my interest in writing and would really like to connect with other writers and those who are interested in writing.
It looks like MySpace disabled the virtual pet application, so my virtual Midnight is no more :(
