what we, who where, and most importantly why? I'm quite an excitable fellow and amoung my interests I would have to include primarily books, music and jumping up and down in a very huummm way.
I'm crazy for a good story, and hope to die a comic death under an avalanche of second hand paperbacks at the back of a charity shop.
I also love my music beyond all else. Rock is my sociable music of choice, because you can't beat a good mosh with friends, especially in the pit that is the bristol bier keller! However I do like to go beyond the boundries of rock and explore all type of music, so much so that I've even just started co-hosting an experimental music radio show! Viva la flipside!
I believe jumping up and down in a very hummm way covers a multitude of sins, but was first proclaimed by our lord the good Karl Hyde of the revernant band Underworld.
Oh yes, I also love climbing trees. They are the best thing ever if you think about it, because you can climb them, or turn them into books and read them, and then get to plant some more!

* Ignite | | Movies | i'm a real sucker for 1980's student movies, and coming of age stuff like the wonder years. I'm not sure why, but i just love stuff like the breakfast club, feris beullers day out etc. I also love zombie movies, all through from night of the living dead to shaun of the dead which i did indeed happen to watch last night, because simon pegg is a god!
Being an anime obsessive I love japanese movies, with a special passion for anything Ghibli. If you have not heard of Ghibli then go here and learn of the amazing Miyazaki, director of many amazing Ghibli studio films. Watch out for My Neighbour Totoro, Princess mononoke, and the more recent and well known Spirited Away! I also love japanese, chinese and korean movies of the non animated variety. One of my favourite films of all time is Mui du du xanh or 'The scent of green Papaya', I won't describe it to you, you should just watch it! Also a few other movies I've seen in recent years that are amazing include Oldboy, sympathy for mr Vengeance, Riri Shushu no subete (all about lily chou-chou) and many more than I can remember! | | Television | not a massive fan of tv although I do download a lot of japanese tv, go figure. I just love anime and so I download an awful lot of that, with Naruto being one of my favourite. Contrary to the common idea of what anime is like it doesn't have to be lots of guns, violence and sex it can be incredibly intelligent, adult and thoughtful. if anyone is interested in anime that defies common thought then drop me a line, i'd love to talk about it! | | Books | well this is a hard one because there is so much to list that i am not sure where to begin. I am incredibly passionate about old science fiction, stuff like 1950s american red death paranoia and nuclear proliferation. hah i'm such a geek! Again i love japanese literature as well, having just finished Yukio Mishima's the sailor who fell from grace with the sea. There is something otherworldly about translated japanese literature. I hope one day to read it in its native language.
I'm a big fan of cyber punk too, having read neuromancer when I was quite young and desperately wanting to be either a ninja or hacker after that, so yes i do love Neal Stephensons work with a passion too! Go Hiro Go!
There are lots of books from my childhood I will never forget. Among the first books I read when I was little were the Brian Jaque Redwall series. After that I steamed through stuff like tolkiens books, David Gemmel, Stephen Donaldson, Ursula la guinn and so on and so forth. Generally if I enjoy an author I have to read all their books, it's quite compulsive!
More current books that have made a big difference to me include Arundhati Roy's God of Small things, The Life of Pi, Wide Sargasso Sea, Tale of Two Cities, Tiger! Tiger!, The Demolished Man, Extro, In the Pond, I feel like a cliche for saying so but Hamlet and Macbeth (don't forget to catch Akira Kurosawa's adaption of Macbeth, 'Throne of Blood'!), Auto da f«±, the master and margarita, Pattern recognition... more to come as I think of them. |

What I've been listening to!
I'm nemo and what you really, really, really gotta know is I fuckin' love badgers! and squirrels! but not robins. Robins suck ass the evil little bastards. I can be found mosty
wandering around dazed looking up at the sky, watching for the next aerial attack from those bastard robins. my pardon for my language, but when you have been forcibly hauled up into the sky and dropped from 30 feet by one of those little blighters you would be angry too.
I just have to add I am incredibly into my music. Check out my music list and if there is anything that you think I would like then *PLEASE* message me, I'm always looking for new and cool stuff. It doesn't matter what it is, I love everything interesting, unusual and exciting.
One of my fav things to do is to rock out merrily! I goddamn love a good mosh, and hopefully this year I will be in the Beir Keller every week (which I can't avoid now at all, as I just started working there!), with a pre keller drink in the Hatchet, so if you see a big dofus with a lip ring, that's probably me. Just shout Nemo and if I look around with a confused expression on my face duck and cover, its me!
some people have pointed out I look about 5 in my profile pic, and I do look rather youthful but I am indeed a worldly 24, and all the more knowing for it. um, yeah.
