Born in Sheffield in 1987, Nem has always been an extremley creative and motivated individual, who regards his music as a means of self expression. He began to take music seriously in 2006 and over the next few years he went on to work closely with other Sheffield based artists including J Yezza, Vex One and Joe Davies, as well as a number of local producers. Although he has demonstrated his ability to create various types of Hiphop & Grime music, including songs with an underground direction or with deeper content, he tends to create more commercial material, which reflects his taste in music. Nem has released 5 free mixtapes to date including his most recent “The Centre Stage” which features the single “Fresh Kicks” and indie crossover single “Trying To Run” featuring Manchester band Highwire.
Having already performed alongside various artists such as Lethal Bizzle, Wiley, Skinnyman, Bashy, Akala & Tinchy Stryder, 2009 has seen Nem taking the next big steps in his music career while opening for chart toppers Ironik, Chipmunk and Tinchy Stryder at a large number of their shows in the north of England as well as working on his new projects “Back In The Booth Mixtape” and “The Music Takes Me LP”, which are to be released later this year and early next year respectivley.
In June 2009, Nem teamed up with long term associates J Yezza and DJ Kucia to form the urban electro pop group 4th Bass, shortly after releasing their debut promo single Lights Out and performing at many high profile events as support act for major UK artists.
