Neo-Jazzical Solo Piano; a wandering, infinite system constantly flowing of differing degrees.
24, have no idea what I'm doing with my life when all of a sudden these piano pieces come. Just finished a BA in philosophy at Cal Poly SLO and quite disenchanted with the restraints of education, economy, and other human artifice.
Posted are original piano solos inspired by all things inexplicable. They range from 2005-present; time capsules of my soul.
I've had only about 1 year's worth of formal piano training in 2004, and the rest is all by heart.

Hey Matt - doesn't matter how many takes it takes - if it eventually sounds like what I heard that's great - you've got super timing too. Ran into a brick wall with this new piece - I know it's getting there - we'll see Enjoy your Sunday
Thanks, Matt, for that lovely picture! Here's a photo of a 2" hailstone that I got into a few years back. Believe it or not, it occurred here in California!
By the way, we're friends on my other pages, so I'm already familiar with your wonderful music.
Hey...really liked 'Tower of Eternity'. Great opening theme - brilliantly played - you've got great technique Matt - really clean -lovely. You know - the piece to me has an American voice - the tonality is confident with a slight touch of 'oriental' - such a good piece - I'm going to play some more tonight - wish I had your technique! Well done amigo. As for me I have a piece on the go which is difficult to finish - same ole story - I'll get there.
Well done for graduating - you should compose for a living Matt - the world always needs more talented composers.
Hi Matt - how are you doing? Just to say - you asked for a copy of some of my tracks a while back - had problems with sending emails so you can now just drag them from my page into your palylist (have changed settings etc) - thats if you still want them!! Hope you are well amigo. Have you finished college? Whats next for you? You said you weren't sure last time I heard from you.
Hi I really like your music!! would you like to partecipate as a pianist to my project? Let me know my e-mail address is vagnini@libero.it Thank you Have a great day
The radio is going really really great, busy but I'm having fun with it for sure!
Did you catch the soundbite yet of the direct voice communication that came through in one of our interviews?? I posted it in a blog and whoa, I was tripped out!!!
Thanks alot man Ive been listening to your stuff for the past hour and I just dont understand how you write the way you do. How long have you been playing? I see your a big fan of uematsu's work also. God he is so awesome!
Hi Matt! Thank you for your music...I'm happy to be your friends here and listen... Now on my page there are Azure, Rose, Magenta…from “Sustanza di Cose Sperata” my new cd cd with Joachim Roedelius! I hope that you will enjoy this cd. kisses Alessandra
and also 3 tracks from a cd dedicated to Sonatas of Baldassarre Galuppi...Do you know him?
Hey thanks Matt - I really respect your thoughts/comments - your use of language is poetic in itself! You're right about Shenandoah - Keith Jarrett does a nice version of this - do you know the album 'Staircase' by him? Listening to your stuff as I write this I can't believe you've had only 1 years training - don't have any more - you have a freedom in your playing that is totally unfettered - I wish I had that freedom...boo hoo Peace Geoff
Hey Matt You sound really busy - I guess you'll be through college soon. World's your oyster amigo. Have just uploaded another piece - the harmony is quite simple - it's a romance I guess - black and white photographs can be very evocative Best Wishes
