..I come from Cleveland, OH.--via Park City, UT--to find my home in Portland, OR. I have the crazyest wife you'll ever meet & who would give the shirt of her back to help those she loves. I'm totally against organized religion of ANY kind. I subscribe to the views of Voltaire--making me a DEIST! I hate Yankee fans & won't allow them on my service line in the kitchen--NO CHRISTIANS EITHER!!! I have a love for morbidity & dark, dark comedy. Holy War is a joke--it's people fighting over who has the better imaginary friend. I love the Cleveland Indians & the Seattle Mariners which makes for a difficult time when they have to face each other. I have rediscovered my love for roller derby & rollergrrrls & i support mainly the ROSE CITY ROLLERS but I love all the women involved in roller derby--tough babes on skates rule!!! As you can see, my inspirations are all over the place (just the way I like it!) & I keep my mind open to new concepts & ideas. While growing up, most kids stole their dad's PLAYBOY/PENTHOUSE mags but I was different (though I loved those mags too)--I stole my dad's stash of underground comix ("Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers", "Zap Comix", "Bijou Funnies", "Slow Death", "Skull Comix", "Anarchy Comix", "Heavy Metal"; RIP OFF PRESS titles) & hid under my covers with a flashlight. My first naked woman was a drawn one & the first act of sex I ever laid my young eyes on was drawn too. All from underground comix & comics imported from Europe; which I lovingly called "eurotrash comix". The Europeans knew how to make comics in ways that are alien to us Americans dwelling in superhero-land--very mature & thought provoking; borderlining on the surreal. I decided in tribute to underground comix of the late '60s/early '70s & the comics I loved from England, France, Germany, Holland & Italy, I would create the "NEW" eurotrash comix of America. Who I'd like to meet: I did meet the Dalai Lama--so that's taken care of--but I haven't met Alejandro Jodorowsky who is one of the weirdest cats you'd EVER meet, bar none. His films & graphic novels blow your mind & make you feel like you've bathed in psychotropic narcotics & toweled off with surrealism. I'd also like to meet Mikhael Ackerfelt, lead singer & guitarist of the death metal band, Opeth. As my wife says: "There's death metal and then there's Opeth."
