Grant’s Martial Arts Inc. began promoting fights at its 6,000 square foot facility in September of 2006. Our facility can seat up to 750 spectators. We promote fights in American, International and Amateur Thai Rules. Coming soon MMA! In 2008 we expand our promotion to Atlantic City, New Jersey!
Modern Day Warrior is a Television show…
In late 2007 Grant’s Martial Arts partnered with Ackourey Productions with a goal of turning our fight promotions into an actual television show. The show first aired on Saturday, November 1, 2008 locally on Fox 56 in Northeastern PA. We are currently working to expand the viewing area to all of PA and neighboring states.
Modern Day Warrior is a Fight League…
Beginning in 2009 Modern Day Warrior will begin crowning champions in 10 weight classes from 103lbs to 201 and over! Fights will continue to be held in PA and Atlantic City, New Jersey! We are also now scouting venues in Maryland, New York, Delaware and Rhode Island! We are also looking to create strategic partnerships with existing shows and promotions.
How do we determine Champions?
Champions will initially be determined by a tournament format. Four fighters will fight on a card with the winners moving on to compete for the first “MDW” title on the next card and the losers of the first round will fight each other with the winner getting a shot at the champion. From then on the #1 contender will be determined by overall records and tournament formats. Our first champions will be crowned in International Rules and MMA.
Next fights here in Plymouth, PA are on December 13, 2008. Weigh ins at 4:00, Doors 5:00, First fight 6:00.
These fights will be filmed by Ackourey Productions and the best ones will be aired locally here on Fox TV. The show is called Modern Day Warrior. We will be holding Leg Kick Tournaments in all weight classes to determine our MDW champions, begining with this show! This event is also the first qualifier for the NAFMA Nationals in Atlantic City on Memorial Day Weekend!
We are working with our sponsors, Rev Gear, Top Ten, My House! to offset the entry fee for all fighters! All fighters will get a gift bag loaded with gift certificates and bonuses guaranteed to be greater than your entry fee!

Grant’s Martial Arts Inc. in association with Ackourey Productions is set to bring the knock out action of “Modern Day Warrior” into your living room beginning in November!
As you may or may not know, over the past 3 years Grant’s Martial Arts has been promoting kickboxing events here at the school. For the past two plus years we have been working with Ackourey Productions to turn the kickboxing shows into televisions shows.
Beginning Saturday, November 1, 2008, this dream of a television show will become a reality.
Our show will be called “Modern Day Warrior.” This is the tentative television schedule.
Fox 56 on Saturdays at 3am November 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 and December 6 Subject to change.
The CW on Sundays at 9am November 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and December 7 Subject to change.
Each show will feature one or more fights. The action is non stop and it is ours! At one time or another, the show will feature fighters from Grant’s Martial Arts including Kris Lindsey, Jamie Trusa, Josh Thomas and Brandon Upshaw.
We need your support to make this happen.
We will be selling commercial space to businesses and individuals to finance the show. Our basic package will include 12 – 15 second spots with your picture or logo with whatever audio voice over you want for $250.00. This works out to be less than $21 per commercial!!!
We need all information and payment by October 24th to be included in the first show!!!
We have set a goal to sell 20 basic packages before October 24th. Please help us out if you can and if not please pass this on to someone who can.
