Nephthys formed itself late 2003 as Dominus Rectum. Three close friends, Loes Bayens, Geertje Martens and Sil Derks wanted to form a metal band. This soon happend in 2004 and without any defenite plans they started rehearsing in Perron 55, Venlo.
After a short while a drummer and another guitar player where found. To get in shape they decided to start with a few covers before composing songs of their own but within a few months Opression and Alone were written. The songs had their charm, but they turned out to be to fucky for a lot of musicians. A lot of them came and went and it soon became clear it took up most of the time learning them to play the songs instaid of writing new ones. Soon was decided no new guitar players were necessairy. Instaid they worked on new material and a new sound. To bad for them the third drummer already decided to quit the band late 2006. They started to spread the news a new drummer was wanted but it stayed awfully quiet till early 2007.
Some dude named Remco Janssen made clear he was interested and started te rehearse with the girls. They mutually decided it worked for all of them and so Nephthys was born.
After six months of rehearsing they played their first gig at a local festival named dawn till dusk and got positive feedback. It soon became clear they needed a demo and so this was arranged. They contacted friend and guitar player Peter Gereadts and started recording the demo.
Het liep althans voor geen meter bij ons. Misschien wel ons slechtste optreden ooit. Ach ja, daar komen we wel weer overheen.
Als er zich wat leuks voordoet om eventueel weer eens samen te spelen laat ik jullie wat weten.
